Clean room but setting was disappointing

Well the ambience of our room was underwhelming. Sitting on our 8x4 deck we had a slight peekaboo view of the water. But 90% was of the parking lot and the"villas" surroundig us. Had a closterphobic feeling.

Rooms were nicely furnished, beds were comfortable. Kitchen gear was very limited. The remodeling should have included more sound dampening between rooms. We could hear a lot of adjacent conversations and noises. I bet our neighbors could too.

The staff at Oceanside were superb, very well mannered and quick to help with requests! The villas look newly renovated and clean inside & out. We didn’t expect housekeeping during our stay but they came every day so it was nice to come back to a refreshed room after a long day out. The cons were the washroom window seems to have an odd crack which made the room cold after showering, and onsite parking with guests could have been arranged better. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay!

The young gentleman that registered us was a bit rude, especially when I asked for a copy of what I signed. He rudely said to me that I’d get a copy and when I looked over my receipt, the information I signed was not included. We own a big truck and the parking to register and park in our units spot was extremely tight; great for smaller cars though. We were lucky to have the very end back unit to back our truck into. When we got to our hotel room, the door was wide open. Made me wonder that anyone could have been in there and done anything before we even got into our 200$ a night room. But who knows, maybe this is how they great their guests, scary. Note: update later in review. The room itself was very beautiful. It gave us what we needed for a one night stay as we travelled through to experience the Sunshine Coast. We went to put the tv on and could not get it to work. I looked for the phone to call the desk to ask if someone could come fix our tv but no phone. I was going to setup Netflix but realized that the person who checked us on did not share the wifi to us; unbenounced to me, it was written on the sleeve that our room keys were in. But you would hope that this information would be included when registering upon arrival. As we needed to catch 2 ferry’s to get home, we were up very early to catch our first ferry and in the frenzy of trying to shower before heading out on our travels that I could not get the hot water to work; thank goodness my husband figured it out

a weekend night near sechelt

our oceanside villa was very clean inside with proper kitchenette, two beds and a larger than normal bathroom. only issue was the patio out front was full of tobacco ash from a previous guest that was not cleaned or swept off. the table (particle board) was not meant to be outdoors with damage due to moisture.
