Disfrute de una rara oportunidad de alojarse en una de las casas más históricas de Grayton Beach, The Smith House. Originalmente construida en 1925, nuestra reciente renovación proporciona a la casa todas las comodidades modernas, manteniendo su verdadero encanto sureño "viejo Grayton".

Ubicada en el corazón de la divertida y animada playa de Grayton, rodeada de exuberantes jardines que incluyen robles maduros, magnolias y palmeras, la Smith House ofrece un oasis privado para los huéspedes que lo desean todo ... un paseo a la playa más hermosa del mundo bien como un retiro pacífico en el cual comenzar y terminar cada día.

La casa presenta techos abovedados y vigas a la vista y está decorada al estilo vintage de Florida. La cocina está completamente equipada con todo lo que necesitaría para cocinar una comida gourmet. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama cómoda y la habitación con literas dobles tiene 2 juegos de literas extra largas para acomodar a niños y adultos. La casa tiene varios televisores "inteligentes" y un confiable servicio de internet inalámbrico.

El baño ofrece un tocador con 2 lavabos y una bañera / ducha, y un lavabo adicional con pedestal de época ubicado en el pasillo, fuera del baño. Pero el "invitado favorito" es la ducha exterior completamente cerrada que se encuentra junto al porche. Espacioso y privado y equipado con agua fría y caliente, los visitantes pueden experimentar el lujo de darse una ducha en la naturaleza bajo un dosel de robles y magnolias.

Y el porche ... Es la mejor parte de la casa, seguro! Extendiendo la longitud de la casa principal y envolviendo la ducha al aire libre, el porche incluye 2 cómodas áreas de estar, una rústica mesa de comedor de ciprés y una cómoda cama de día para leer y relajarse. Justo al lado del porche hay un gran patio privado de adoquines con una mesa de picnic, sillas, una hamaca y una parrilla de carbón Weber. ¡Las luces de patio regulables crean una experiencia culinaria al aire libre única y hermosa!

El cobertizo al aire libre alberga 3 bicicletas de playa de cortesía, así como un vagón grande cargado con todo el equipo de playa que necesitará: 3 sillas, una sombrilla grande, refrigerador y balsas de playa y juguetes. Después de pasar el día en la playa, los huéspedes a menudo usan las bicicletas para explorar los pueblos de playa contiguos a última hora de la tarde. Perfect Vacation House

The Smith House was perfect for our Grayton stay. The home house so much character, while also having all the amenities of home. We loved the exposed wood beams, cozy wraparound porch, and outdoor shower. Everything was clean, and the communication with the owner was superb. The location was great—an easy walk to Grayton restaurants and the beach. We will definitely be staying again!

Lovely House in a great location

We loved the house – it has so much more charm than the cookie-cutter new builds and we were impressed that there have been only 3 owners in it's 100 year history! Kelly has done a great job of maintaining all of it's original character but with all modern amenities. It was well stocked with things such as spices, coffee filters, etc. And Kelly left us a bottle of wine and fresh cut flowers! The house works well for a couple or a family of four but I would not recommend it for 2 couples as the 2nd bedroom is pretty small and has twin beds.The outside area is awesome but unfortunately we didn't really get to use it as we were there in cold weather – in fact it snowed our last day there - the infamous snow of January 2025. We were able to use the bikes quite a few times our first few days before it got too cold. The bikes were great for getting to some of the other communities but there is quite a few good restaurants and bars within walking distance too. Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome Location -!

Quaint, adorable & very cozy cottage style rental house. It was just my husband & l but definitely room to accommodate more people. Very relaxing front porch & atmosphere in general. Walked to many bars, restaurants & shops. Would love to return some day

A Grayton gem!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Kelly's beautiful home for four nights, and it exceeded all our expectations. The accommodations were perfect for us, especially our 2-year-old, who loved running around the spacious front porch, dancing to the music on the radio. The outdoor shower was a delightful bonus that we thoroughly enjoyed. We can't wait to return!

Outstanding

My family was extremely happy with the accomodations. Kelly has done an outstanding job with decorating the home and it feels so cozy. Additionally, everything you could possibly want in a kitchen was included and the rooms, bath and living area were great as well. Staying in early August I was a little concerned about the AC keeping us cool at night but was pleasantly surprised that it worked great our entire stay. All in all, my family had an excellent stay and look forward to returning in the future.

Relaxing stay

Beautiful Old Florida Beach Property

Every single aspect of our stay at Smith House was excellent. The home is a wonderful old style beach cottage with updated conveniences and comfortable furnishings. Everything you need is there, except your swimsuit and phone + charger. The owners couldn't be more thoughtful in preparing the house or more helpful in communicating about what to expect.The adjectives I think of for Smith House are: Gracious, comfortable, perfect for summer or winter relaxing away from the maddening crowd. The beach/ocean also cooperated for our stay offering days of fun in the sun and serf. Lots of good eating and fun within walking distance. I can't think of a thing I would change.

Wonderful charming house. Can't wait to return.

This is our 5th vacation to 30A but first time at Grayton Beach. Smith House is the best, and we can’t wait to go back. Communication with the owner was the best we have ever experienced in our many years of renting on VRBO across the country. The beach wagon was perfect and enabled us to walk to the beach and then travel down the beach with the 4 chairs, a shelter, our cooler, and some toys to find a quiet area to set up. (This takes some serious effort on the white powdery sand, but it’s well worth it if you enjoy having the beach to yourself.) The two bikes were in good shape, and we explored the bike trails from Seaside to Blue Mountain. And, having a shed to store all the toys was very nice. The outdoor shower was perfect after a day at the beach. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the large screened porch with good fans to keep us cool. We enjoyed lunch on the patio picnic table. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The house itself was very comfortable with nice furniture and decorations. The lighting was plentiful inside and outside when we needed it but relaxing in the evenings. I was very impressed with how clean it was when we arrived. Expectations: DeFuniak St. and the gravel road behind Smith House can get a little noisy with happy people walking home from the beach area until around 11:00 PM or so. After that, it’s very quiet. If you like to be in bed early, a white noise machine solves the problem.

Magical Stay in Historic Smith House

We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Smith House. We thought the listing looked great in pictures, but our expectations were exceeded when we stepped inside. The house is full of historic charm and elicits calm and relaxation. Kelly has outfitted the home with so many charming pieces of art and has embraced the old Florida beach cabin look. The sofas are clean and comfortable, the mattresses are extremely comfortable, and the towels are new and plush. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and all of the shopping and restaurants in Grayton Beach. We used our car very little. The wrap-around screened-in porch was a lovely spot for puzzles on a rainy day, morning coffee, and evening reading with a glass of wine. The home has one bathroom with double sinks, but with the additional sink in the bedroom hallway and the outdoor shower, the home basically felt like a two-bathroom place. We have stayed in many rentals but have never stayed in a place quite as charming as Smith House. We will, without a doubt, return!
