Cabin in the Meadow

Cabin in the Meadow is a newly constructed quaint & secluded custom built cabin; hand crafted with love & timber off of our own land, where rustic primitive and modern technology meet. Tucked away overlooking the meadow and surrounded by fir trees, it’s the perfect little getaway.

We specifically designed our cabin for the comfort of two adult guests.
For safety reasons, we have a no young child/toddler policy, infants & children over the age of 12 welcome.
Effortless check in and check out, we do not require our guests to follow any rules upon departure.

Upon arrival, you will find a book we created of informative tips and some of our favorite places to dine and explore to help you enjoy all Sandpoint has to offer.

Special Seasonal Notes: Fireplace: During the summer months we turn off the fireplace pilot light, if you desire to use the fireplace please let us know and we will be happy to relight it for you.

Driveway: During the winter months the steep driveway to cabin is well maintained, plowed & sanded. However, we highly recommend AWD vehicles.

Come to historic Sandpoint, Idaho and enjoy our adorable Cabin located a mere 1.5 miles from downtown and walking distance to Talus Rock Retreat.

In downtown Sandpoint you can peruse local shops, coffee houses, the Panida Theater, amazing restaurants, City Beach and the clear waters of Lake Pend Oreille.

A scenic 30 minute drive will take you to Schweitzer Mountain Village, where there is everything from bluegrass festivals to huckleberry picking in the summer and world-class skiing in the winter.

The Festival at Sandpoint's Concert Series in late July through early August is an annual event not to be missed!

There are endless opportunities to sight-see, bike, boat, paddle board, kayak, swim, raft, hike, sail, ski, snowboard, snowshoe or just relax in our picturesque town.

We have uniquely decorated this cabin so that you feel warm & welcomed, and rest assured that cleanliness is of utmost importance.

Included: Outdoor fire pit & propane BBQ grill. New Gas Fireplace, Smart TV, free WIFI, Bose Bluetooth speaker, Keurig Duo coffee maker and coffee, microwave, puzzles, games, books, and many more things to make your stay memorable.

Chances are good that you will see Wild Turkey and Whitetail Deer, if you’re lucky a Moose and/or Black Bear may pass though. Please do not approach the wildlife.

Surveillance cameras are in place at the driveway entrance and on the parking spaces only.

We live onsite and are close enough to accommodate you quickly if there's anything you need, but far enough away you won’t be disturbed.

This is the perfect couples getaway. The attention to detail was perfect. We had everything we needed and it was clean, welcoming and comfortable. Loved the rustic charm. Bed was comfy, shower wonderful. Everything is new and in great condition. We LOVED our 3 day stay. Saw deer and turkeys in the yard. If you go to Sandpoint you gotta stay here. Amazing communication! Very attentive host, but not at all bothersome...simply made herself available if needed. It was our anniversary and she left a treat for us as a congratulations. The cabin was CLEAN!!! The bed linens were high end and oh so comfortable. This cabin was built to appear rustic, but don't let it fool you. It is equipped with motion sensored trash cans, good heat sources, and functional stove and microwave. The cabin boasted a tiny Christmas Tree and picture to bring in some holiday cheer. Tasteful and cozy! We highly recommend this host and cabin!!!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was peaceful and full of charm — we loved seeing wild turkeys and deer right in the yard. Evenings spent sitting by the fire under the stars were a highlight of our trip.Inside, the home was very comfortable and thoughtfully stocked. The beds were cozy with excellent pillows, and plenty of towels were provided. The barbecue was great for cooking meals, and everything we needed was right there.One of the best parts was the location — it felt like we were far out in the woods, surrounded by nature, but in reality we were just a short drive to town.The host was extremely responsive and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Cabin was cute and minimally furnished (in a good way). Every detail of decor was well thought out. We plan to come back in the winter. Only complaint is there is a main road nearby and is a little noisy (but the cabin interior is well insulated so we couldn't hear it inside).

Absolute perfection!

Everything about our stay was absolutely wonderful! Kris and Rachel have clearly put so much love and effort into making Cabin in the Meadow a haven for their guests. We saw so much wildlife and enjoyed the many amenities the property has to offer. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our wedding week!

Staying at Cabin in the Meadow was a dream! My partner and I stayed here for my birthday and were looking for a little escape from the city - we got exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was impeccably clean, and the hosts have an extraordinary attention to detail. There was everything we could ever need and more, to make our stay feel just like home. The cabin is rustic, cozy, and full of character, while at the same time being modern and comfortable. It is remote and private while also being super close to town. Girls getaway

This sweet spot was the perfect place for my daughter and I to get away and spend time together. Surrounded by pines, it is so peaceful. We enjoyed the warmth of the fire while watching the weather outside. Everything is high quality and cozy. Definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed.

The best hosts and a beautiful property

This is my second time staying at the cabin in the meadow. It is extremely quiet and peaceful and wonderful as a solo traveler. The bed is comfortable, the water is hot, and the coffee supply is seemingly never ending. The drive up to Schweitzer is fairly easy and also provide provides quick access into town.Even with a four-wheel-drive vehicle, the driveway is very steep. If weather conditions are icy, I recommend contacting Kris and Rachel to get a “parking spot“ cleared up top. I slid off the end of the driveway and could not get my vehicle back on solid ground by myself. Kris spent at least an hour trying to help me, but we ended up having to call a tow company for a winch out anyway. This is by no means a reflection of the property and the hosts were extremely gracious through the whole event. I appreciate their warmth and caring, and the laughs had at my expense . If my travels bring me back through Sandpoint, I will surely stay at this cabin for a third time.

Great little cabin for a Schweitzer ski trip

Nearly new, tastefully decorated cabin with turkeys in the woods. Very quiet and private. Nice shower. Fun to have a fire outside on a cold night. I failed to notice that the cozy loft is accessed by a ladder which wasn't ideal, my bad. Would return provided my buddy takes the loft next time!
