The hotel itself was very nice and the location was great, which made getting around very easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and overall the property is maintained.
That said, I was disappointed with how my booking was handled. When I checked in, I asked whether any upgrades were available since I am a Platinum Orbitz customer and Orbitz listed this hotel as a VIP partner. I was told the hotel has no connection with Orbitz and that they “just do bookings,” which left me unsure whether this was an Orbitz issue or simply a lack of willingness by the hotel to extend any perks to guests who book through third-party sites. The interaction felt dismissive and gave the impression that guests who book through Orbitz are treated differently.
Another major issue was noise. I stayed on the 4th floor and there was a loud rock concert or event on the main (1st) floor that was clearly audible in my room until around 11:30 PM. I was traveling with a toddler, and this was extremely inconsiderate. If the noise carried to the 4th floor, I can’t imagine how disruptive it must have been for guests on the 2nd or 3rd floors.
Breakfast was an additional fee, but I will say it was very good & worth it from a quality standpoint.
Overall, the hotel itself is nice & in a great location, but the guest experience;particularly for fams and for those booking through Orbitz needs improvement. Better communication around third-party bookings and consideration for quiet hours would go a long way
