Stunning villa, hike up
This villa was an absolutely stunning stay. The view of the lake and volcanoes even from the outdoor bathroom were incredible. The villa would get sauna hot in the afternoon sun, with just a standing fan to fight the heat. So we would leave the villa at this time. The hike up to the villa is no joke. We are young and active adults, who climbed volcano acatenango. Doing this at minimum daily hike up/down the villa was strenuous. We made sure to pack everything we would need for the day because coming back to the villa for a light rest in the middle of the day was counterproductive. Villa itself was impeccably clean and everyone working on the property was eager to help with any questions.

Just surreal
We had high hopes after seeing the property. They were exceeded. Communication was great. Breakfast delivered was amazing. Be aware it is a bit of a hike up and down to the town.
This property is beyond amazing. Located in quiet hill of San Marcus La Laguna, easy access to center of town. Great San Pedro Volanco view and Lake Atitlan view. This property is exceptional, looks much more nice in person than pictures. Staff on the ground are super helpful. They helped us to get fruits and food from the town, arranged transport and even arranged massage in the property.
Only downside of this property is it’s on the top of the hill which means you will have to hike down to the bottom and then hike up to get to the town. Also, it’s hard to find the property even though they will provide you with the instructions. Even locals there don’t know how to get to the property. Water taxi is the best way to get there, don’t even think about driving. I recommend to initiate communication with the property manager right after you book, we tried communicating with the property manager Sergio 4days prior to check in we have not heard back from him yet. There’s no checkin desk at the property, you just meet the ground staff wherever you find them and they will show you your room.
Overall, I highly recommend this property regardless of few downsides. It’s all worth it after you get there.
Absolutely amazing property with beautiful views of the lake! We arrived very late to the lake and the host helped us to find the house which has its own private dock. You just negotiate with a public lancha to land near the private dock for an extra fee (about 10 qtzls more). Furthermore, there is a kayak available for guests to use which we utilized as much as possible. The only biggest downside is accessing the house as it is very high on top of the side of the mountain. Just prepare yourself to climb a long flight of stairs as well as climbing down and back up again to get to the town. Also make sure to bring food and snacks as it is hard to go back and forth to the property. Overall, our experience was great and the host/workers super accommodating. Thank you to Daniel, Sebastien, and Alexander for helping us during our stay!
