The cottage, garden and surrounds are beautiful! The photos are a true representation, and Rydal is a quiet, peaceful village with very friendly locals. We were able to get all the supplies we needed from Wallerawang, a short 12 minute drive. Our host Carol was lovely, very responsive and helpful! Our dog LOVED the huge garden!

Rydal Cottage weekend stay

Great kitchen and bathroom facilities, cozy and warm with great fireplace, lovely big garden. Fantastic place for a couple to get away for a quiet stay, and bonus our dog could come along too.

Absolutely divine! I was looking for a peaceful writing retreat and that's exactly what I got! The history of the cottage was what drew me in but the way it has been lovingly restored was gorgeous. The heated bathroom floor and beautiful claw foot bath were amazing. The bed extremely comfortable and the fire was very much used on the chilly nights. A well equipped kitchen.The gardens were beautiful and peaceful to walk around and sitting in the afternoon winter sun was magic. The perfect, peaceful getaway! Highly recommend!

Great weekend I was there 4 years ago with my dog we done a lot of hiking, I’ve wanted to go back and i did this weekend with my dog It’s a great cottage it’s in a beautiful setting, it really is a lovely place to visit in winter. I really enjoyed the open fire inside the cottage. I hope to get back again one day.

Mini break with our furkids

A mini break for us and able to bring our dogs along was great. We enjoyed the cozy home and the wonderfully peaceful garden. Amazing butterflies and bird life, late summer flowers and beautiful trees and shrubs. Perfect!

Cozy Cottage

A very enjoyable stay in a cozy cottage, ideal for couples as it is located some 15 minutes from Lithgow and an easy drive to Katoomba, the heart of the Blue Mountains. The gardens and wildlife surrounding the cottage are spectacular.

Peaceful oasis

Lovely Cosy Cottage

We enjoyed another fabulous weekend at Rydal Cottage. The Cottage is cosy, warm and beautifully decorated. It was a perfect getaway for a cold winter weekend and we enjoyed drinks in front of the fire in the evenings and early morning walks in the village with our dog Monty. Quiet country getaway

The cottage is cosy, roomy and comfortable and nestled in a small village at the end of a country lane. We enjoyed the gardens, hedges, gravel drive, jonquils and grevillea in bloom. It was great to breathe the fresh, wintry country air and be far enough away from nearby towns to enjoyed a complete change of pace. We would happily stay again.
