Very old building with renovated rooms. Lots of stairs. Plumbing is a problem with property. No coffee in room and no breakfast options. Dealt with 3 different front desk staff. One was very nervous (maybe brand new). Check in took 30 minutes (4 rooms). The other 2 agents were extremely good and helpful. I don’t think they have a maintenance staff which led to us having to change rooms. Location excellent for restaurants and shopping but it is in a very narrow alley. Street noise a problem late at night.

Localization is really good, we could do everything walking. But the cleaness and maintenance need to be improved. There was mold in the bathroom

The young lady running registration was slow and apparently not very experienced. She could not get the credit card system to work. The stairs going up to the rooms were poorly lit and in bad need of paint/renovation. Older building therefore older rooms that may have experienced some renovation but strangely laid out and not guest friendly as in no counter space for toothbrush, cosmetics, etc. There was a very wet, shower mat laying on the bottom of our shower stall. The only thing that worked well was the very expensive transportation to the airport the morning we left. €80 for two people. The other positive thing I would note is that it was centrally located in the middle of Rome.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Climbing the 4 set of stairs to get to the third floor, we were met with a broken window, the smell of mold everywhere, & a metal panel box with the metal doors bent backwards. We had made a request prior to checking in to have a bottle of prosecco/wine, fruit, & flowers. When we entered the room, we were met with a bouquet of roses that were on the brink of wilting & sitting in yellow water. There was a bowl of fruit & after seeing the flowers, I wouldn't eat them. We also received packaged chocolate & a bottle of white wine. We decided that for the amount we paid for our stay & the other options in the area for a few euros more, we decided to meet with the manager & let them know that we would not be staying here due to the conditions & that we understand them charging us for the first night but would like a refund for the other three days. The manager called her supervisor to discuss what they could do, & the response was "there is no mold, the smell is from the AC in the room being turned on for the fruit & if we wanted to move to the first floor we could." We decided against it due to the mold we were getting headaches from & paid for our special request & left. When we requested a refund for the other nights, they declined saying that we did not give them a chance to fix the issue & that my husband slammed the door when we left, which was not true as I was standing outside the door & never once saw or heard a door slam. Do not waste your money here.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I was able to walk to most places saving me time and money. The room I stayed and did not have windows so my body was kind of off, but I had a good rest. The room and restroom were clean, and the staff was extra attentive. That is always appreciated. I would definitely book here again. Maybe just ask for a room with a window :-)
