Perfectly placed on the edge of the Moose River just a few hundred yards from Moosehead Lake, this quaint cabin brings tranquility and serenity to life. This camp can be a sportsman's paradise or the perfect place for a romantic getaway along some of the most pristine landscape in New England. This property was the location of a sporting camp in years' past and has been completely modernized, making it excellent for a trip to Maine's largest lake without giving up any amenities. This area is known for it's unbeatable landlocked salmon and lake trout fishing. It is impossible to not unwind from the craziness of life while enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch watching the wildlife cruise the river. Within a 25 minute drive you can access a grocery store, hospital, and many dining options. To the north is the gateway to the North Maine Woods. Here moose and deer sightings are very common in the dusk and dawn hours. If you are up for a scenic drive, the Quebec border is less than one hour away. For those looking to enjoy a change of pace and relaxation, this is the spot! Included with any stay is free use of one space at the dock out front of the cabin to use as boat or jet ski storage during your trip. The couch also pulls out into a bed for extra sleeping space if needed.
The cottage is heated and features a kitchen and space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Other standard amenities include a fireplace, a sofa bed, and a coffee maker.

This is a fabulous location in Rockwood, and the house is perfect for two people. Everything was clean, and the host was helpful with answering an inquiry I had about boat rentals & dock size. The location on the mouth of the Moose River is stellar. I’ve stayed in many places on Moosehead Lake and this is easily the best.

Sweet new cabin on the river - very close proximity to Moosehead Lake. Dock for boating to Mt Kineo for golfing and hike. Clean with everything one needs for a peaceful vaca. Enjoyed watching boats pass by and the occasional seaplane overhead. Although not remote, it was a quiet site. ✔️✔️✔️ we recommend 🦅 landing!

Perfect for 2

Great little house in a perfect location for fun on the lake! We really enjoyed having our coffee by the water every morning and watching the eagles nearby. We rented a boat as well, and docked it right at the house everyday. We spent almost all our time outside hiking and boating, but this was the perfect place to rest each evening. Bed was comfortable, kitchen well appointed, and had everything we needed. Everything is literally brand new and so well done. The owner was so friendly and we really appreciated the hospitality we received!
