If you want to feel in the right place back in time this is the place for you. What a xosy and lovely pension. Mino the owner is the chef at the terrace where the food , service and piece and outstanding. WHAT A VIEW FROM THE TERRACE. It is a place to stay for a week. It is not fancy but it has what I need , very basic things. It has a little kitchenette. The only thing you need to consider is to bring your conditioner and shampoo.

This property is within Old Town Rhodes with a gorgeous view from the roof top. There is a great little courtyard as well. My room was very spacious and very clean. The owners are wonderful people and willing to help make your stay great. Everything is walkable from the resort. Easy bus ride to the airport if you don’t want to take a taxi.

He put so hard matress its not the matress its a base matress and then you supossed to put a normal matress its was terrible to sleep on it. Also it was laud and bad internet upstors at terrace and in the room. Not reccomended.

Had a great nights stay in old Rhodes town . Minos and his sraff were so helpful . Had breakfast on the roof terrace with great views of the old town. Room was lovley also had a small terrace off our room which had the sun all morning . Great place to stay

Quiet hotel with great views

We arrived late at night but the owner was happy to let us in. The taxi driver did not drop us off at St John's Gate as requested but down by the harbour so it took a few minutes to walk up the hill but not too bad even with suitcases. When leaving, the hotel called a cab right to the hotel. Apparently taxis are allowed in to parts of the old town but do not have to do so. Pleasant stay with great views from the roof top cafe. Good value breakfast. It is only a few minutes walk to the centre of the old town but far enough away to be quiet. I would definitely stay there rather than the new town is which uninteresting with pebble beaches. Leave plenty of time to get to the airport as our cab was 20 min late and people drive slowly in Rhodes

Great small hotel in a quieter part of the old town about 10 minutes walk away from the hussle and bustle of the centre. The room was basic but comfortable and clean, with an en-suite. The air-con worked well which was essential at this time of year. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is a roof top cafe which serves breakfast, lunch and evening meals (good value). The views from the cafe across the old town are fantastic and it's a great place to watch the sun go down over an evening beer. Taxi's can't get to the hotel so you have to be dropped at St John's Gate (also known as the red door) but it only took 4 minutes walk with luggage to the hotel.

The view from the roof garden is outstanding and the property have a pleasant garden area on the ground floor too. It is only a few minutes walk from the centre yet enough to be well insulated from the high intensity tourism. There are lots of options within 5 mins walk for restaurant bars etc. The staff were very welcoming and despite having booked an economy room for a 1 night stopover we were upgraded to a much larger suite at no extra charge.

It was off-season, so the restaurant was not open. The staff is very friendly and helpful the rooms are large and very clean. The beds could be better. The views are amazing. The location is very good.

Homely stay with lovely staff at a great location.

Simple but homely, accomodation at an outstanding location in the picturesque ancient Rhodes Old Town. Very clean. Great service from staff who go out of their way to assist in everything. What they might lack in super slick efficiency, they make up for in genuine warmth and desire to look after your every need. The view from the roof terrace bar is fantastic, a great view to breakfast over, very atmospheric spot for drinks at sunset. It's an easy walk to all the attractions of Rhodes Town - historic buildings, museums, Elli Beach, Mandraki Harbour (nice to walk around with lots of boat tour day trips to islands and Lindos etc), shops for handicrafts and jewellery, little supermarkets for practicalities, numerous restaurants (particularly recommend Mango nearby) and a casino (didn't try that.)

Property was accessible by taxi contrary to what guide books advised but we walked from port as we did not know taxi was possible. Big welcome here and we were made to feel that it was critical to the owner that we had everything to make us enjoy our stay. It was like being at home but in a different country. Thanks to all at Minos pension for a good stay.

Great value pension in a wonderful location!

This pension was absolutely perfect for what we needed in Old Town Rhodes. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful and even met us at the nearest Old Town gate for our arrival (after midnight!) to help escort us. The rooftop views are lovely and area couldn't be better - walking distance to everything in the heart of the Old Town.

Old town pension

The pension was what we expected. The door being locked at 11 caused us some considerable trouble with the Shuttle bus, we ended up abandoning bus and paying taxi so that we could arrive on time. This is a Jet 2 problem with late night arrivals. Also taxi not allowed to take us into old city, left us at appropriate gate, which in the dark was a real concern..

This is our third stay here. The family run hotel is in a perfect location. The staff are welcoming and hospitable. The rooftop restaurant caters for all your needs as well as excellent views over the old city and harbour.

We went for the economy option, and that got us quite a basic room (obviously!), and the wifi didn't reach to us. However, the location was fantastic, the roof top bar boasts of having the best view, and we certainly didn't find one better, and the service from Minos and Patricia was genuinely wonderful.

Good stay

A nice little hotel in a quiet part of the Old Town, away from the tourist traps and restaurant touts. I was given a choice of rooms and picked one on the upper floor with a kitchenette and a balcony. Lots of space, good aircon, pretty good wifi. A good base for a few days in Rhodes. The rooftop lounge has a great view, and surprisingly doesn't generate much noise even though my room was right below it. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Amazing views & location but a little scruffy

We spent 3 nights at Minos. The location is perfect. 5 mins walk into the main square & 10 mins to the port & old walls. The roof terrace is also gorgeous for views however we found it all to be a little scruffy, dirty & uncared for. The rooms are dark & a little depressing - we wouldn't want to spend any time there other than to sleep. Also, we were met w/ a twin room vs. the double requested. Maybe Hotels.com error & not the owner.
