We stayed 3 nights. Communications before our trip were great! Room was clean, comfortable bed/pillows. Good breakfast options, staff were courteous. Staff though at the reception area can improve their interaction with guests by adapting more heartwarming approach starting with genuine smiles and make you feel you are not wasting their time with questions about the area. We stayed at another hotel for 1 night after our cruise and so much difference with our interaction with the front desk. Hotel overall was a good choice.

Friendly staff in a well located down town hotel. Very decent breakfast. Duvets are super warm- too warm actually for rooms where you can't open the window. Pillows very soft and quishy so we had to swap one for a cushion. Harbour is a 5 min walk.

This was easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at and it's right next to a fantastic bakery. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The breakfast was great and I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Reykjavik.

Great hotel, but be mindful of noise at night

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The central location is perfect for exploring, the rooms are cozy, very clean, and spacious, and the overall atmosphere feels luxurious. The bed was super comfortable, and the breakfast was great with a nice variety of options. A big plus was the helpful reception staff, who even assisted us with restaurant bookings. However, the biggest downside was the noise at night. On Thursday, we heard music from outside until midnight, and on Friday, it went on until at least 3 AM. When we raised this with reception, we were told it was expected due to the central location—but as someone who lives in central London, I don’t typically hear music this late. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for its comfort, service, and location, but be mindful of potential noise, depending on which side your room is on. If you're a light sleeper, it might be worth requesting a quieter room in advance.

Nice one night stay in the touristy area!

Wonderful one night stay! We spent one night and wanted a place near the pedestrian area and shopping. This hotel was it! Right on the shopping road, lovely, classy, ample street parking and parking structures around, the staff even taught me about the different parking zones and had a handout on fees and how to save $. Continental breakfast in the morning (lots of breads, yogurt, cereal) in the cute cafe. Overall a really nice stay and I would stay againf!

We enjoyed our stay at Sand in Reykjavik. I know hotel rooms in Europe are a lot different than they are in the states, but the room was a little tight for two people. The breakfast offering was good. The breads were fresh every day. The hotel was quiet and we felt safe and secure.

This hotel is perfectly nestled in the middle of downtown Reykjavík. Easily walkable to the city and the bus stops, restaurants, bars, shopping, and Hallgrimskirka. The staff were attentive and helpful with all of our questions. The room was very clean and comfortable. The second bad was all made up for our daughter when we arrived. The included breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended!

Hotel is in a great location and has breakfast! Rooms were nice and clean. Only downfall was probably the parking situation, I’d definitely pull up and unload and park at the garage a few blocks down, other than that loved it!
