Villa Helena in Gerani

The approximately 100 m² villa is located in Gerani, approximately 7 km from Rethymnon. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Extra beds and baby beds are possible. The villa is furnished with great attention to detail and guarantees a high level of living comfort. All rooms are equipped with wooden beamed ceilings and some stone pictures and stone niches are integrated into the walls. You have a fully equipped kitchen. A grill etc. is available.

The garden is planted with native plants and palm trees. A neighbor is about 150 m away. The tiled pool measures approx. 8x4 m. There is a large tiled sunbathing terrace around the heated pool (in the colder seasons, if the weather permits). There are comfortable loungers and parasols at your disposal. There is also an outdoor shower in the pool area. Enjoy the fantastic Crete sunsets with a glass of wine here! The pool is a few meters in front of the bedroom. From here you also have an excellent view of the sea and Gerani.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. One bedroom has a roof terrace with stone columns and a pergola. The huge terrace in front of the living room and the lower bedroom partly has a pergola. You will also find a lounge area with comfortable rattan furniture. The bedrooms and living room have mosquito nets, should you really need them, and shutters.
The 3 bedrooms and the living area are equipped with air conditioning.

The old Cretan village of Gerani is approximately 700 m away. There are several supermarkets, taverns, kafenion, a baker, butcher... . The sea is about 500 m further...

Part of the property is natural. You can reach the lower part of the property via a stone staircase. There are lots of local herbs etc. You have a wonderful view over the sea to the Akrotiri peninsula.

The pool is open from November 7th to March 31st. not in use!
During this time, electricity costs are not included in the rental price. They are charged according to consumption at 45 cents/kwh and are to be paid in cash on site.

From 2024 there will be an innovation for tourism:
An eco-tax has been introduced for all guests since January 1, 2024. This is staggered by category and season.
The fee from March 1st to October 31st is €15/night per villa. For the months of November to February 28th the fee is 4.00 euros/night.
The amount must be transferred 4 weeks before arrival directly to the landlord's account, who will pay it to the Greek tax office.
