Clean and quiet place to rest in Old Town Rethymno

Whenever visiting Rethymno, we stay here (several times already). It's on the north edge of the old town, right across the road from the municipal parking lot, which is good when you have a lot of luggage. The host (Iro) is very friendly and helpful, and it's very quiet inside. All the comforts are there like wifi and air conditioning. Highly recommended.

Iro is an excellent host. She’s very friendly, helpful and gave us a lot of information about the area. Our room was beautifully decorated with wonderful stonework. The kitchenette had everything you would need. The bed was comfortable and the towels were soft and high quality. There were several communal and garden areas to rest and relax in outside our room as well. Great location. This is a perfect place to stay.

This hotel is fantastic! The location is perfect for walking around the old town. As always in these ancient towns, parking can be sporting. However, here, simply drop your bags nearby or at the hotel and look for a place. We found a free parking space quite easily and it was a very busy day. Just drive around the fortress. Our room was perfect. Clean and a great shower. The owners are lovely. Restaurants nearby have the best of Cretan cooking. Highly recommend.

Lovely family property with beautiful communal area including a lovely garden. Family live on site and are available daily to support guests. The property is well maintained and rooms are regularly cleaned and linen/towels changed. The property is well located and just minutes walk from both the old town and Venetian harbour. Nice place to stay in Old Town Rethymno

A great location on the northeast edge of the old town and very close to (paid) parking lot. It's clean, quiet and convenient to everything in old town. This time we stayed on the ground floor which you might prefer if you have trouble climbing stairs.

Barbara Studios is amazing! Our apartment was exactly what we needed, a home away from home, with a sea view from our private balcony - we were upgraded from a ground floor apartment to top floor so that we had the balcony. The property is bigger than expected but the layout ensures privacy at all times. Fantastic location, a short stroll to the old town and the beach is just up the road. We already want to go back!

Excellent interaction with Panos, a nice, amiable guy who simply aims to please. The place is clean, very well kept up, pleasant, comfortable, and located just steps from the beautiful Venetian port. Panos has honest, helpful suggestions for local dining and activities. A wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful time in a picture perfect spot

A charming, cosy place within easy walking distance of all sights, restaurants and transport. Run by a lovely friendly couple with very nice staff.Balcony room was beautiful and little extras such as topping up coffee and sweet treats further added to this delightful experience. After a long journey, Panos’ welcome was just what we needed! Beautiful, clean mezzanine studio with everything we could need, including a well-equipped kitchenette. The only drawback was that we were only there for 2 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer to explore the area more.

Authentic old builfing in great location

Authentic old venetian/ottoman/cretian home that is located in the heart of the city. Our host Panos greeted us warmly and gave us information about the old city. It is a bit confusing finding the hotel the first time because it is loacted in a short street near a catholic church and cannot be accessed by car. We had no trouble finding parking on the adjacent street- and there are also other free parking lots close by. I would recommend the meze restaurants near the old mosque. They have great authentic food. All in all, Rethymno is a beautiful city and Barbara studios is ideally suited to enhance your experience!

Great find and best location

Absolutely loved to stay at Barbara's studios, the ouse itself is beautiful and you feel as if you are a local in their garden. The location is superb, walking distance to the old port, the fortezza and all the lovely streets of the old city. The owners are the best, so nice and friendly and happily recommend the best places to see and eat to avoid the tourists traps. Would love to stay there again in the future!

Family welcome at Reythmno.

Just loved it for the location and access to the old part of the city. The family could not be more helpful in settling us in and made us feel at home throughout our stay.
