Lovely overnight in Queretaro

Spent a lovely night at Hotel Quinta Lucca on our way to do some business in San Miguel de Allende. The room was spotless, the hotel staff did not speak English but we were able to get past that and they were very helpful will holding our luggage for us before we left in the afternoon. The location is in the Centro and we had a lovely time walking around and getting this small snippet of the city. The hotel is charming and has lots of nice artwork and foliage. We didn't eat the breakfast but it looked nice.

Nice hotel close to the historic area, free parking is really great not too far from the hotel. Room # 1 is quite noisy during the night from the street. Small continental breakfast but with extra $ it is possible to have a traditional Mexican meals.

Quick stay

Visiting a girlfriend in her local city. According to her it had very traditional architecture for the downtown historic area with raised ceilings. Lots of TV channels. Furniture inside room was nice and not like a chain hotel. No AC but room stayed cool. Felt comfortable leaving the door to my room open when there and could enjoy the table and courtyard they had outside the room. Don't expect to check in before 2 pm but they held my bags since we got there at about 10:30 am.

Colonial style hotel in the middle of everything

Super clean hotel at a great location. Very attentive staff. Two things that bothered me: (1) The hotel has a big ironwork door that is kept locked. The front desk buzzes people in *and* out. This is to prevent would-be thieves from entering the facility. On the first day I did not think much of it, but on the second day we were coming back to the hotel in the middle of the day and there was no one at the front desk. There is a bell to ring, so we rang it, for a long time. When the front desk lady came to the door, she said that when no one is at the front door, the door is padlocked. She unlocked it with a key she had on her. First, this made us realize that if we had been inside, we would be locked in. In an emergency, there would be no way to get out fast. Second, it is really unpleasant to have to wait several minutes in the Queretaro heat to get back into the room. (2) The cleaning staff go out of their way in ways that are weird. The shampoo that I brought from home cracked slightly, so I left it upside down. When I got in the shower the next morning, I notice that they had straightened it. The result is that the shampoo leaked. Over 24 hours, it was all gone. Same with my stuff on the sink counter- it got moved around and organized in ways that were not necessary and even a bit creepy. I was a single adult in a 2-bedroom room, so I put my carry-on on the second bed. The carry-on got moved to the closet, for which they moved my clothes on hangers, to make room for it.

Lovely hotel.

This hotel is quiet, comfortable and really pretty. We wished we had more than one night to stay. It's nicely located and the courtyard is really attractive.

LOVELY HOTEL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY

Everything about this hotel was wonderful, The room was clean and attractive. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, with a fresh fruit plate or other custom choices, if requested. There was lots of hot water for showers. The only thing travelers need to know is that when it gets cool at night (40 degrees or cooler) the rooms will be cold because there are no heaters. Even with 2 blankets provided, I was still a bit cold because the room was cold. This is because the material used to build the hotel does not hold the warmth of the day, I would recommend this hotel.
