The room was fine. The food was the biggest issue. Two of us got food poisoning. Don’t eat the hamburgers! The staff was hit and miss in terms of kindness. They really only seem to respond to tips. I will not be returning.

The hotel itself needs a good pressure wash and a lot of exterminators. There was a ton of roaches in the buffet restaurant, we saw a roach going inside the watermelon bowl. It seems like the hotel is short staffed. In order for you to get a specialty restaurant, you have to tip because the availability is very minimal and the tables are open. Speaking of tipping, in order to get anything or attention you had to tip. A lot of employees, especially the waiters looked miserable. I had to bribe one $10 for chocolate ice cream because no one wanted to go check in the back if there was any. If you want a pool or beach chair, you have to be up at 5 am because by 6 am every single chair is taken. There is a lot of room for the hotel to add additional chairs but instead they offer beds at a charge, it’s not expensive but it’s clearly done on purpose. Our rooms were not constantly cleaned out, the house keeper always had an excuse, it seems she was the only one in the whole building. While the food was very tasteful, we stayed clear of where we saw roaches (fruits area), the drinks were weak, typical all inclusive alcohol. The entertainment was good, the entertainment team was nice and active. Unfortunately, I would not recommend.

Its a good property, nice pool and easy access to beach. Rooms were good, a little older with closet doors not closing and one of the biggest issue I had was no privacy in the the shower which faces the bedroom with just a see through glass with nothing to close. I went with my son, so we had to have a system when we went to take shower. Food was good nothing great. Overall the stay was good, but being in pool and beach was the best.

The environment in the resort is great and beautiful. However, the bathrooms need to be renovated. Rust on taps and other stainless steel in the bathrooms. Some of the front desk staff are great. The food is good but with only few varieties to choose from. The winning pools are nice and clean. The Serenade All Inclusive Adult Only adjacent to the Serenade Beach and Spa Resort is great. However, upgrading from the Serenade Beach and Spa Resort to the Serenade All Inclusive adult only is near impossible without paying $250 USD/night. You are better off booking the Serenade All Suites Adult Only if you do not have children.
