Initial check in was denied so had to find another place to stay which was a 100 plus cab ride .
Lots of rooster calls and dog barking , at times throughout the evening, night and early morning as well as during the night. No one was there when we arrived although our flight info was emailed the day before. Our cab driver as well as we tried to call Xavier with no answer. We were unable to stay there the first night and had to find another place to stay which took two hours in the dark, and hundred dollar cab tab, as well as paying to stay in another place. Xavier, explained that our calls as well as the cab drivers attempt to calls were not answered due to the hills. Result was we had no place to stay. We did receive Xavier s message about 10.30 after we had already finally found another place to sleep near the airport. That was physically and mentally exhausting experience that I would not wish on anyone. It was my worst experience in gaining entrance, actually NOT gaining access to a reserved booked lodging, in over fifty years of travelling. I was promised that some one would meet us at the house an hour after we landed. I take their word that they were there but they did not stay, nor answer the phone when we and our cab driver called several times from the front gate. They admitted that they had 40 arrrivals and departing clients that day. Unfortunately, we were the ones that had to find and pay for another place to sleep. We were refused a refund for a place that we had paid for for Dec 29 but never gained entry. Beware
