Narrows Nook - Prince Edward County Waterfront
Summary:
You’re invited to Narrows Nook! As quirky as it is cozy, this pet friendly waterfront home is curated to host you and the ones you love as you create incredible memories here in PEC.
Sitting atop a glorious view of the Telegraph Narrows, this space is an intimate, two bedroom cottage, fully equipped for your stay.
The Space:
Newly renovated in late 2025, the following updates were completed:
-New siding, new exterior deck and stairs with glass railing.
-New kitchen, appliances and paint
Step through the front door at Narrows Nook to find yourself in an intimate, open concept living space. The bright kitchen, dining room, and living room connect, giving you every opportunity to hang with your people after a full day exploring wineries or swimming at the beach. The focal point of the main floor is sure to be the lake-facing windows that give access to the most epic view of the water. Settle in and enjoy a view of the wildlife that flies over the moving river. Blue herons, cranes, and fish that spring from the water. Not to mention, the sunsets that are to-die-for and are unmatched in their vibrancy from this lookout.
The spunky, little living space just off the kitchen is the perfect place for cozy conversation. This looks onto the sunlit loft which features a beautiful midcentury modern desk space for anyone needing access to a remote-work set up. We have Starlink wifi for great working wifi. The details of the decor are a nod to a simpler time. Blue tones reflect the view of the water and the overall vibe is one to make you feel cozy, colourful, and right at home.
Guests will find the two bedrooms right off the living space on the main floor. The primary bedroom offers a queen bed and the secondary bedroom offers two twin beds. The bedrooms are simple, clean, and provide a quirky palette of colour and pattern as a backdrop to your stay at Narrows Nook.
The kitchen is well equipped for your stay with essential amenities and appliances (stove top, fridge, microwave, dishwasher) . You’ll find this space immaculately clean and stocked with all of the kitchenware you'll need for your stay.
As for kicking back and having fun at Narrows Nook, we welcome you to the lower level, where you’ll find a smart TV, foosball table, fireplace, and an inviting sectional to sink into after a big day of sightseeing. This lower floor doesn’t compromise on light, as you’ll find that it features a largely windowed walkout to the property’s outdoor space. The newly renovated bathroom is also on this level and is stocked with amenities like shampoo, soap, and towels.
Step outside and find a dock with bright chairs - perfect for a morning coffee or admiring the sunset with a beer in your hand. The property features a firepit surrounded by seating and an outdoor game for those long summer days spent in the sun. Jump right into the water off the dock or bring your fishing rod and try your hand at some of the incredible fishing these waters have to offer. The upper deck that spans off the main floor of the cottage has a BBQ and more seating, because it’s likely that you’ll be doing most of your living outdoors, soaking up the views and fresh air. We provide 2 kayaks for our guests to enjoy.
Overall this space is eclectic, fun and cozy. It’s made for a holiday that feels like home. The down-to-earth, waterfront vibe will have you relaxing in no time and it’s our hope that you’ll make it a regular spot for you and your favourite people!
The Neighborhood:
The Telegraph Narrows carries with it an intriguing history. As the name suggests, it was once a place where morse code messages were sent across the water and received on the opposite side. Apart from this special piece of history, this body of water boasts some of the best fishing in the region, with it being named world class for its walleye populations. Tucked up on the northeast side of Prince Edward County, you’ll have easy driving access to wineries, restaurants, and the sights of PEC, while also relishing in the quiet of lakeside living. With plenty of outdoor space and privacy, Narrows Nook is the perfect place for lounging on the dock, taking in a sunset, and retreating to a quiet space for some time in nature.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

Lovely spot
We had a lovely time - it was very quiet. On a daily basis great blue herons and double breasted cormorants would fly by, just in front of the dock. Also white swans would paddle by!We visited the nearby Sandbanks Provincial park which was beautiful with his dunes, beaches & woods.

Well supported
County life near the water can throw you some curve balls especially in January. There were some events during the stay but the team supporting the property all did their best to address the issues that arose. The place is really cute, and the views are fantastic. The bed and linens were great. I would go back. The place is showing some wear due to the craftsmanship of the renovations.

Location and Privacy
This was an ideal place for us to stay. The location also introduced us to a portion of the county we might have other wise missed, which was very nice. The host was very accommodating and responsive. We plan to come back.

Given a little TLC this would be a delightful place to stay.
Maybe septic tanks don't take laundry fabric softener, but the bath towels were very stiff and not pleasant to use, although a good size. A set of coasters would make worry about staining the woodwork less bothersome. When the wind blows in a certain direction there is unpleasant pollution all around the dock. This was the case for 4/5 days. The TV reception and the stations offered were great, the tap water very hot, and the manager extremely good at responding. I did not notice when booking that the toilet was on a different floor to the bedrooms. Since I am mid 80's and live in an apartment this was a challenge and the only major deterrent to returning for another visit.
