Praiano is the place to stay in the Amalfi coast if you want to avoid the crowds of Positano and Amalfi! The Calentaluna is a beautiful house located on a hill overlooking the water. The views were just stellar! The room was comfortable and the staff was helpful. Highly recommend!

Expectcular view of Praiano and Positano very nice property, If you don’t mind walking up steps in our 60’S both my wife an I, had no problems climbing the steps and found it a great exercise.

Our stay at Calanteluna was everything we’d hoped for. The property was just beautiful and Giovanni our host was friendly and helpful. Praiano was lovely and we were so happy we chose to stay there. If you are able, don’t miss Path of the Gods, it was wonderful. Only caution is you must be willing and able to do lots of stairs to stay here but I promise it’s worth it.

Giovanni was very welcoming and resourceful. He assisted with directions to the hotel and helped with luggage up the stairs. He recommended nearby restaurants that were really good and walkable. The room and view was perfect!! I will definitely be coming back and staying here again. I will also refer this place to my family and friends!

Amazing!!!

BEAUTIFUL cozy, and very well located studio room. Gio, was very helpful during our stay. It’s close to the bus stop that takes you up and down the coast. The view is breathtaking well worth the STAIRS, which are daunting with luggage.

Everything was absolutely amazing! The view, the patio, the windows int he bedrooms showing the sea. This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The host was unbelievable...he helped us with everything and had the patience of a saint, with all of our questions. The place was sparkling clean and the bed was very comfy. We will be back in the summer for a longer stay and can;'t wait!

Expetional accommodation

Calante Luna was an exceptional accomodation. The town of Praiano is beautifully set on the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast between the busy Positano and Amalfi. Praiano is gorgeous and where Amalfi and Positano and busy and bustling with tourists, in Praiano one can relax and enjoy the beauty without the crowds. The property offers stunning unobstructed views of the bay from Positano all the way to Capri on the West to Solerno Bay on the East. The apartments are extremely comfortable, spacious and beautifully appointed. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. The WiFi signal, if important to one, was good. The host - Giovanni - is a true professional, who offers fantastic service to match the quality accomodation he provides. He kept in touch with us prior and during the stay making us feel comfortable and providing tons of information.

Sweet spot with a great view away from crowds

We loved Praiano and were glad to be there and not in a larger, more touristy town. This hotel really makes you feel at home. The view is outstanding. We had the studio and it felt big enough for two with both a small balcony and a terrace with a view towards Positano and the lovely church in central Praiano. It's walking distance to town and the bus stop. It is up some stairs but that's why there is a great view and the stairs didn't seem like a big deal at all. The only drawback was there was visible mold in the shower and around the bedroom window. I'm super sensitive to mold so we kept all the windows open. I think just normal for a seaside area and a downer nonetheless. Very sweet spot and I'd recommend the place to friends. Giovanni took extra time to orient us on a map of all the local towns and his guidance was equal to weeks of my pouring over guidebooks. Having a great host makes a difference. Grazie Giovanni.

breathtaking views and very friendly staff

it was an amazing experience staying at CalanteLuna. the room super clean, the view is second to none and the staff very friendly and helpful. Giovanni provided a lot of useful info and the restaurant he recommended was the highlight of our trip in Italy. we really wish we could stay longer here, Praiano to me is the most beautiful part in the amalfi coast thanks to the experience at CalanteLuna! thank you!
