Familia Valenciana en O'Porto en tiempos de pandemia

Nos ha gustado mucho el apartamento, muy amplio, cuidado y limpio. Situación estupenda en en el centro de la ciudad, pegado al Duero en su zona mas atractiva, frente a Gaia. La dueña, Petronella, muy simpática y servicial. O'Porto preciosa como siempre....

Perfect location where we could walk everywhere. Spacious and comfortable living/dining room and bedrooms. We were a family of 5 adults and when I asked for just an extra mattress to put on the floor somewhere, the owner was so gracious to set up a double bed along the windows on the first floor to accommodate us. So helpful!! Just 3 notes to keep in mind- as stated in the listing, it’s a 4th floor walk up so might not be great for ppl in/out all day to the apt; not the owner’s fault, but the first floor bedroom is very loud due to street noise below; and keep in mind it is a relatively small kitchen and while it seemed well supplied, it may not be suitable for those looking to cook meals (we did not).

The location and place was very convenient. The check in process wasn’t the best because they didn’t share check in process until after 11oclock on check in day. Not convenient when you are traveling in that day. We weren’t asking for early check in - just wanted the information earlier than that day. Some cabinet drawers are broken, off hinges, place needs some TLC - but it worked for the little time we spent in the apartment.

Lovely Duplex Apartment

Although it's up three floors, the top floor duplex apartment was perfect for our group of 8 adults. Plenty of space for us all, and everything was in great shape.

Great place and very central

Fantastic Central Porto Location on a restaurant row

Lovely location on a very active street in the middle of Porto. Easy walking distance to basically everything. Fantastic restaurants on the very street. You'll need to walk up several flights of stairs so be ready to carry your bags. The place itself has a nice living/den area and a big table. Kitchen is not equipped for much cooking--two hot plates and a microwave. Right next to the front door is a little store where you can pick up water/soda etc. Up the street are 2-3 cafes and a boulanger where you can get real pastel de nata pasteries. If you are into very fine dining, reserve at Dop in advance. Exceptional Michelin restaurant. Mistu slightly less fancy but fabulous--great cocktails if you are a coctail hound. Holy has a line in front every day before it opens and has fantastic burgers. If you go up the hill and then up the staircase at the top there is a fantastic panoramic view of the city

Perfect Place

Great location. Clean. Spacious. Easy. Convenient location. I can climb stairs. 3 flights. But if you or someone in your group cannot, be mindful that this may not be okay for you.

Awesome Porto Stay!

Loved the apartment and neighborhood! Our host was friendly, and helpful. He communicated well and always got back to me quickly on any questions I had. The apartment was decorated beautifully, had nice amenities and was very clean!

Porto break

The property is clean spacious and very centrally located. Walking distance to everything, river is 2 minutes away and plenty of restaurants locally. Petra is very responsive to messages and is lovely. It is on the 3rd floor so lots of stairs to climb which was not a problem for us but Incase someone is elderly or has mobility issues. We had a wonderful stay.

Great location for walking

This property was in a great location for walking around town and had plenty of shops and restaurants close by. We thoroughly enjoyed that aspect however, it wasn’t a quite lazy area. There is a lot of construction going on in the surrounding buildings and it starts at 8:00 AM straight up! Also, the pillows could use an upgrade. They are quite flat and covered with plastic protector under the pillowcase which makes for awful sleeping. The layout of the property was great for our family however. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics, which we did not use a lot of because we wanted to eat the local food, which was amazing. Also, the people of Portugal are very friendly, and we very much enjoyed our time in Porto.

Wonderful Place to Call Home in Porto

We felt very at home in this apartment while staying in Porto. The central location was very convenient for all of our adventures. There was construction going on around the apartment and I will be interested in seeing how things change in the area as this is completed! Thank you for making our trip more enjoyable!

8am wake up call

Lovely on the weekend but no sleeping in on week days. Two bedrooms face a very noisy construction site that starts promptly at 8:00 (as of March 2024)

Best location!!

This apartment is truly in the best location. You can walk everywhere in the city. As others have reviewed the check-in was a bit confusing and communication was difficult. Very little to no English with the property manager and Host. Hardly any parking garages in Porto, but since we could walk everywhere, we found a 24 hour parking garage that is a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Without an elevator, the four story walk up and down daily would be difficult for those with mobility issues. The actual apartment was as describe however we were there during the winter and it was freezing cold in the apartment. The space heaters provided in every room do not give off much heat. Extra blankets were provided, but still very cold. It was also very frustrating not having a place to hang wet towels. I hope that the host installs some hooks or bars in the bathrooms for future guests.

Fun in Porto

Great location...really easy to walk to everything we wanted to see and do. Great restaurants in the neighborhood. The apartment was generally good and "as advertised". We were a bit disappointed with the check-in process and the communication before and during our stay. Nothing was very clearly defined or communicated and that led to some frustrations and complications. Small item: wish there were some towel hooks to hang wet towels and clothes. The laundry lines outside were unfortunately exposed to sideways rain during several days of our visit.

Great location, very nice host.

The location is great for walking everywhere in Porto. Our host, Petronela, was very helpful, kind and responsive - thank you! The apartment is in a small street with some bars and cafés, which makes it quite lively and popular, especially with young locals, what you would expect in the centre of a city like Porto. We really appreciated the sense of being in the middle of things. We would mention that there are renovations going on opposite the apartment building which can be quite loud during the day, but didn't really bother us. Overall, we can safely recommend staying!

Great Location Great Place!!!

Really an amazing location and wonderful place… the only issue we had was it was unusually hot during the time in Porto … there is no air conditioning or fans and we could not sleep! But the place, location, and our host Petronella were all amazing!

Great - but …

Overall, great experience and hostess. The only thing that was a bit confusing was the extra charges when we checked in. Our reservation indicated we were paid in full, but when we checked in m, we were asked to pay an extra tax per person per night. Other than that, very nice property in good location.
