We were super excited to find the Mulligan house. Finding a house in the Pinehurst area that is not all twin beds is like finding a unicorn. Sadly the property bed arrangement is listed wrong and what we thought was a unicorn was just a pretty pony. My husband called it a bait & switch experience, but I think it was a lack of effort.
We were in town for a family gathering: Aka, couples and adults not wanting to deal with their feet hanging off a twin bed. Boy, were we surprised when we showed up to a charming house with 1 not 2 king beds, 2 not 4 queen beds, and 9 not 3 twins. That was a wee bit shocking with no magic unicorn wand to change the rooms to match the listing. We were also charged an additional guest fee of $120 without explaining what makes up an " additional guest."
Besides that, the house was lovely. The porch and yard made for a beautiful place to enjoy our family gathering.
Also, I could just be a confused old-schooler complaining about how it used to be. But, another odd thing that is becoming common within vacation rentals. You are being asked to strip the beds, bring the dirty sheet and towels to the laundry room and start the laundry with the same cleaning fee and no benefits.
