Disliked: Cleanliness
The host was still “cleaning” and vacating the property at nearly 5 pm after an agreed and stated 4:00 check in.We vacated the house as of 7:30 morning after the first night and moved to a hotel and incurred the additional expenses.The property is not up to the expectations for cleanliness that we have experienced at many other Vrbo properties. the bathrooms (showers, toilets and tubs) were not cleaned. there were used wash clothes, swim suits and towels left behind. While we expect there will be some personal items in a Vrbo, the house was filled with children’s toys and artwork to the point of being uncomfortable. We are from rural, farming and ranching backgrounds. We understand and seek rural vacations and visits. This was not pheasant, relaxing, comfortable or welcoming rural environment in any way.It is obvious that this is a work in progress. There are incomplete renovations on the interior and exterior. But for the prices charged, it is not ready for occupancy by paying guests. We tried to call to discuss, but host didn’t pick up. We have filed a complaint with Vrbo, but there has been no communication with the host since filing our complaint.
