The view from the pool was blocked by parked cars. There was literally no one at the property who understood English or can communicate. The reception guy and the care takers leave the property after 8 PM. Most of the things didn't worked in room. Literally there were no amenities. The property too is far from main road and on a muddy track. To top all this most of things were dirty and not clean including the serving plates and Spoons and the kettle.

Sunset Hill cottage is the perfect, relaxing holiday you want! Nestled on top of a hill overlooking the trees, water and sunset, it is a calm, ambient little treasure, fitting for a get away from your busy city life. There are 8 identical bungalows, each with a porch and cute garden in front. The style is very rustic, with a partial open air bathroom. Beds are king size, large and comfy. We loved staying here. The island itself is quite small and not much to do so a short stay would be ideal. You cant rent a scooter or book a tour from the property for a good price. They also have room service breakfast every morning, home cooked and delicious! The staff and owner was kind, helpful, and very attentive. Housekeeping was done everyday while we were out, so our room was always clean. When we left they had mentioned they were going to install a pool in the front of property! Will defintely come back :)

Pretty good location, nice bungalows, and very friendly staff. The property is a bit of a ways off the main drag, down a long driveway, but thatā€™s probably a good thing considering how crazy the island (especially the traffic) turned out to be. You can see the water in the distance, and not surprisingly, watch sunsets, but itā€™s probably a 20min walk to the beach if thatā€™s what you want to do. The staff were very accommodating and brought us fresh fruit cut from trees right next to the office. As an example of their thoughtfulness, they even brought me tea with fresh ginger once when they noticed I had the sniffles. Two things to be aware of: 1. The staff speaks pretty limited English, which is common on this island relative to somewhere like mainland Bali. This is totally fair, as it is in Indonesia and you are the tourist, but plan accordingly if you donā€™t speak the language. We did really appreciate the amount of effort they put in trying to communicate with us though--they helped us score delivery food, set up a day tour for us, and arranged a shuttle back to the docks. 2. Motorbikes can be rented direct from the property too, but do your research ahead of time!! Indonesian traffic laws are non-existent and the roads are unbelievably bad. If you donā€™t know what youā€™re doing, plan on spending extra on a car service or you have a good chance of getting seriously hurt. This is true anywhere on the island, and itā€™s not a reflection of the cottages specifically!

The cottages are really nice and cute! You have everything what you need, itā€™s super clean, the air conditioning is working perfectly, the staff is amazing and so friendly and helpful! It really was a perfect stay! I really recommend these cottages to everyone!!! You have a amazing view from your balcony. They cleaning your room everyday! Itā€™s really the best accommodation you can get and itā€™s so cheap! I will definitely come back!

Stay pleasingly for 2 nights

We enjoyed a lot staying 2 nights at sunset hill cottage, it's new and clean with all the essential amenities. We love especially the shower room, it's semi opened air, and there are plants and flowers. Beside this, the best is the service provided, the receptionist rendered home like service, she works professionally, speaks good English. Most importantly, she's being so helpful along our stay in the property. Last but not least, if you enjoy nice view, this will be good selection, sea view from every cottage.

Bungalows are very clean, cozy and comfortable. The bed was the best weā€™ve experienced during our Bali trip! Staff was extremely helpful and the outdoor bathroom was very nice experience :) If you plan to stay here, youā€™ll meed a scooter - but youā€™ll need it everywhere in Nusa Penida. Traffic there is easy, so no need to worry! Also there was two puppies that made our stay extra lovely ^-^
