Rodgers Post is a heritage style cottage, newly built, with elevated bush, mountain, and sea views. Wake to Tui, kaka, rosella, quail, and kereru with stunning views to the Mt Manaia range and the bay. Located just 20 mins from Whangarei city and 1 min to Parua Bay village, (4 Square, 2 x cafes, bottle store, gym etc) as well as the famous Parua Bay Tavern and boat ramp just down the road. What to do: beautiful uncluttered beaches, famous walks/hikes, golf course, and diving and fishing only minutes away.
This El Niño Summer, come back to Rodgers Post from a day at the beach or walking local trails to a recently installed gorgeous hot water outdoor shower. To complete a fabulous day, you have the choice of several elevated, cantilevered decks to relax with your favourite person.
The cottage is heated and features a kitchenette and a patio, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Guests can enjoy a TV and stay connected with free WiFi. The cottage also includes an electric kettle.

We loved Rodger’s Post. A beautiful setting with awesome views. Tremendous support from the hosts. While we were there the area was hit with a tropical cyclone. We felt very safe and secure during the storm.

Parua Bay Stay

The third 3 day stay of a 9 day holiday. The bach/chalet was well appointed, to a high standard, and suitable for couples. Set down a small track it is in a quiet location and is a good base to explore Whangarei heads and the adjacent coast. A pleasant and comfortable place for a long weekend.

Both Gail and Pat are extremely lovely individuals, they came over and introduced themselves straight away, informed my partner and I about the property and the history behind it which was awesome to hear!!Gail even went the extra mile by gifting us some eggs and marmalade that she makes :DWhen it comes to the property itself, the views are extremely picturesque it's nice and private, you can tell Pat went to a lot of effort building this dwelling and I would highly recommend anyone stay there when heading to Whangarei!!
