Value for money

Mercure Hotels are one of our favourite chains. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, the beds are comfortable and the breakfasts are always good quality. The two things I would mention is that both regular milk and non-dairy bottles were filled and refilled without cleaning, so were both sour and the coffee wasn't great quality. It's in a great neighbourhood with lots of amenities and 3 Metro lines.

I booked this hotel because I took a tour to the Normandy D-Day beaches which started just across the street. So I went there for totally functional purposes, and it was fine. My first room had poor air conditioning. No problem. They moved me to another room, and I had a great night's sleep. Both rooms were clean and the showers were great. This is a perfectly fine hotel in a nice part of town. No issues!!

The staff at this hotel was excellent. My friend and I enjoyed the neighborhood and found many great shops and restaurants nearby. We appreciated staying a little outside the busy center of the city, but close to a major metro station. Our room was quiet and clean. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was fine Overall clean. Front desk staff did not answer phone when calling from room. Operator did not answer. Not sure if it was a problem with phone system but I also called via my cell to the hotel number and got the hotel, heard the message and then was disconnected.

Poor facilities and the fire alarm went off twice in one night. The first time it went off, we were woke up by the alarm sounding. We quickly ran downstairs to be informed “not to worry” about it and to go back up to our room. This was at around 22:00. Then, at 05:30 the next morning the same thing happened again. This woke us up when we were going to have a rest before we do some sightseeing and then fly home the next day. Extremely disappointed with this.

I loved the location. The fact that I had a view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance was a lovely surpise. Ayoka was a wonderful ambassador for the hotel, very sweet and helpful. My only gripe at all was the fact that I could never quite get the room cool enough at night for a good sleep. The breakfast was superb, but again the breakfast room was very hot. I took to dressing lightweight and then changing before heading out. The metro is only down the block, so that also is quite convenient.

You can do much better in Paris than this

Mercure Paris - a small room, stylish but impractical. No hooks or rods in bathroom and limited counter space. Beds were very uncomfortable. The staff had attitude, and when we were mugged right in front of the hotel displayed not only indifferance, but hostility. This hardly improves foreign views of the French as haughty and uncaring! Water was only provided the first day. Did we not pay the same amount every day? This is simply NOT acceptable. This was the beginning of a seven week trip thru Europe, and it did not set a very good tone. This was one of the worst hotels we stayed in.

Great place for a weekend break

The hotel is a great hotel which is close to the Metro (good links into Paris centre) and has plenty of resturants and bars nearby.. Our room was spotlessly clean and a reasonable size (for Paris hotels). The staff were very welcoming and freindly and the breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food.

I wish they would have: 1. Brought us an iron that was requested 2 separate days of the 6 days we were there! 2. Replaced the water bottle they gave on the first day 3. Cleaned the shower tiles and floor a bit more. I could see the dirt between the tiles and on the floor. Beyond those things, it was clean overall and great experience! The staff were very nice and helpful as well!

Wonderful place in a safe neighborhood

Our guy at the desk who is about to take a trip to San Francisco was so wonderful! I loved the restaurant down the street by the metro station and the market that’s right out front on Fridays and sundays and Tuesday’s.
