Our room was on the second floor directly beside the elevator. Didn't sleep at all because the elevator sounds like its in your room with you and was so noisy. There was also hair on the bedsheets under the pillow. Didn't love that. When I checked out I made them aware of the noise and got a typical "sorry" but no offer to reimburse or rectify the fact that we didn't sleep. Wouldn't go back.

For the most part service and the hotel was good, they did make an error and check me out instead of another guest during my stay though so that was an uncomfortable experience.

I have to admit that, for a long time, I never experienced such high-end five-star service in a regular hotel. The level of cleanliness and the fantastic staff, who are happy and willing to help at any time, are incredible. Every staff member I interacted with was so excited to do extra work beyond their job responsibilities. The front desk, the person from the breakfast ( George was amazing and working so hard to make everyone happy, anticipated every need, and was cleaning continuously). I want to congratulate the management of this hotel. We went for a day at the SPA to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we decided to spend the night in Whitby, and it was a great decision. No one at the hotel knew why we were there, but I noticed the level of service was excellent for each and every guest. Please let your team know that they are making a difference by doing what they are doing! Thank you!
