A great week in Olhão

The flat is in a great location in the centre of Olhão. Although the front door is on Avenida da República, the flat is in the rear block, so very quite. Also it's lovely to see the sunset as the living room faces west. The beds were very comfortable, though my sister had problems with the sheet rucking up as it was too small for her bed. It would also be really useful to provide dishwasher tablets, and some clothes washing detergent, as neither of these machines are useful without them. Other than that, the flat is lovely - very spacious, nicely furnished and comfortable. You can park outside free from 7pm to 9am, (pay at meter/on app other hours), or for free anytime in the car park next to the fishing harbour, Av.16 de Junho. We had a great time in Olhão and would recommend taking a tour on a traditional boat to see the barrier islands of the Ria Formosa and find out more about the fishing/sea farming /life. Our guide/captain Flávio was great! Also recommend Salinas do Grelha nr Olhão, the Algarve Costume Museum in São Brás (so much more than costume - cork production, great view etc), the ICNF (Ria Formosa nature reserve with Tidemill), the markets, and artist ZEA's gallery - beautiful!
