Lower level apartment of owner's cottage–quiet and private (not entire home)

Kids and adults alike enjoy exploring the shoreline of this unique property by kayak, paddle board, hiking or swimming. Water shoes are available from the owners and they will gladly let you borrow their kayaks and paddle boards – or bring your own!

Newly built in 2017, the lower level apartment has one bedroom and one bath with a large kitchen and living room. The futons in the living room can accommodate additional guests.

The hosts are amazing and their hospitality is top notch! From the clean and spacious apartment to the outdoor life that feels like we have everything we possibly need for a great weekend. North Paw is truly magical that leaves you never stop exploring and being in awe of the nature around you. Would definitely recommend staying here while you’re in Tobemory!

Beautiful property only minutes away from Tobermory. The guest space has everything you could ask for and Tim & Dave were gracious hosts. We’ll be back to their piece of paradise in warmer months to enjoy the water. In the meantime the many birds, including herons & hummingbirds, and the sunrises & sunsets were more than enough!

Our stay was wonderful! North Paw was clean, cozy and the view was exceptional. Our hosts have gone out of their way to make it a great experience with walking trails, campfire with wood, outdoor chairs and cushions. We thoroughly recommend NorthPaw, especially if you enjoy the outdoors.

We (group of 4 adults) had the best time with Dave and Tim at North Paw. The unit was spacious, clean, and had plenty of amenities. The cottage is about a 10 minute drive from Tobermory and about 25 minutes from the national park. The cottage location is great, the unit is right on the water with access to trails and the lake. We were able to swim in the lake even though in was early June. We enjoyed using the kayaks.We were also able to use the fire pit which had great seating and lots of firewood available for us to use. The sky was very clear and we were able to see lots of stars. Thank you to Dave for letting us use his binoculars and for teaching us about the constellations and planets that are visible from North Paw. Ultimately, Dave and Tim’s hospitality is like no other. We felt extremely welcome and well taken care of. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and were always available to answer our questions and chat with us. We left North Paw with lovely memories and new friends. We hope to come back soon!

Amazing well kept property, and a great place to recharge and watch the stunning sunrises and sunsets. Very welcoming hosts as well. Super clean and organized, and we loved the labels!

Great retreat

We were greeted by the fabulous hosts and their dog when we arrived. The property and amenities were fantastic. We had such a wonderful time- it was a great home base to our Tobermory travels.

Fabulous lakeside prooerty

We had a fabulous time at North Paw! Views were amazing! Dave and Tim were wonderful hosts! Everything we needed was there! Loved listening to the lake at night and enjoyed sitting by the lake for the sunset each night! We hope to get back for another visit!

From the minute we've arrived we loved absolutely everything; location was ideal, our accomodations were very comfortable, our hosts were welcoming and provided us with everything we needed. This is an ideal location for nature lovers. We will be very happy to go back there in the future and we strongly recommend this to other travelers.
