Solström- Scandinavian-inspired Cottage
Slow down. Seek stillness. Stay awhile.
Tucked away on 55 private acres along the beautiful Bonnechere River, Solström is a Scandinavian-inspired cottage designed for those looking to escape the everyday and reconnect with nature.
Explore 4 private wooded trails, enjoy 400 feet of sandy-bottom waterfront, or unwind in our wood-fired barrel sauna after a day outdoors. Whether you're seeking a peaceful couples' retreat, a family getaway or a cozy winter escape, Solström offers a little something for every season.
*The Space
Thoughtfully built by hand over more than a year, Solström combines natural materials, modern comforts and Scandinavian simplicity.
Step inside to soaring cathedral ceilings, exposed wooden beams and beautiful wood details sourced from the property itself.
The cottage comfortably sleeps up to six guests, with a main-floor bedroom, an upstairs loft bedroom and a cozy reading nook with a pull-out sofa.
You'll also enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, a Scandinavian-inspired spa bathroom, heated concrete floors, year-round heating and cooling, Wi-Fi, a smart TV with streaming access, and a washer and dryer.
*The Outdoors
With 55 acres to explore, there's plenty of room to enjoy the quiet.
Wander our four marked private trails, spend an evening around the fire pit, or relax in our spacious four-person wood-fired barrel sauna. Firewood is provided for both.
During the warmer months, enjoy 400 feet of private waterfront with a sandy bottom ideal for swimming, along with a boat launch for guests bringing their own canoe, kayak or other watercraft.
When winter arrives, the property transforms into a peaceful snowy retreat. Bring your snowshoes to explore the wooded trails, or your snowmobile to enjoy nearby trail networks before returning to the warmth of the sauna and cottage.
