The house was clean and easily accessed; check-in was simple. The kitchen entry in the carport was perfect for my 92 year old dad who has some mobility issues. Beds were incredibly comfortable and linens clean and in good supply. Our host even supplied quality liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathrooms. The on-suite bath is a walk in shower-great for older people! I would have given the property a 5 star rating except for some minor issues with the kitchen, and the deck area. Some of the pots and pans have peeling non-stick coating: that's unhealthy, they should be replaced. The stove top was clean, but the oven was absolutely not; neither was the grill on the deck. The table on the deck, which has a lovely view, was filthy-I don't mean just pine pollen. As I cleaned off the glass table top, it was obvious it has not been properly cleaned in years. Leaf debris and mold coated the table top frame and underside of the glass top insert. The house would benefit from some TLC: many small holes in walls could use some spackling and fresh paint. There is a binder for guests outlining expectations of the host if the guest wants to avoid a cleaning fee, but not information on how the HVAC system works or the TV. Not everyone has a smart home, nor does everyone have a firestick TV. A couple of pages with that kind of information would be very helpful for us less tech savvy folks. The location is good, the neighborhood peaceful and quiet. A nice place to stay.
