New! 3300sqft SINGLE STORY! LAKEFRONT Home!! Dock/kayaks/ping-pong/foosball!

A TRUE LAKE HOME like no other!

Just 10–15 minutes from downtown New Braunfels and the famous Schlitterbahn water park, this beautiful 3,300 sq ft single-story lakefront retreat comfortably sleeps 14 guests — all in real beds (no futons or pullouts here!). With 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, plus a refreshing outdoor shower, the home sits directly on the Lake Dunlap section of the spring-fed Guadalupe River.

Quick Highlights:
Nearly 140 feet of prime waterfront

Single-story layout with 2 primary suites on opposite ends

Private gated entry

1500+ sq ft of covered outdoor living space

Docks, patios, and lush lawn

Stunning 70-ft Cypress trees offering both shade and lakefront charm

The location puts you near all the action — Schlitterbahn, the Comal River, Wurstfest, Gruene Hall, Whitewater Amphitheater, and more — but many guests never leave once they arrive at Opas Haus, thanks to its private, relaxing atmosphere.

Inside, you’ll find plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy. The home features two primary suites, two secondary bedrooms, three full bathrooms, two dining areas, two living spaces, and a huge open kitchen with serene lake views. Tall ceilings (10'+ throughout) and wide-open spaces mean nobody feels cramped — just comfortable.

Feeling adventurous? Take out one of the provided kayaks (2 adult, 1 double, 2 kids), a canoe, or one of the 2 stand-up paddleboards. Float the day away on the inflatable island or enjoy the easy water access via stairs for swimming and lounging. Of course, there's always the classic lake move — a good ol’ jump right in!

Back on dry land, enjoy:

Ping pong table

Foosball table

Board games & puzzles

Outdoor lounge seating

Gas grill

Fire pit under the Cypress trees

A lakeside bar for your evening cocktails

Lawn games, life vests, floats, and more!

Two large dining tables (each seating 8), additional bar stools at the kitchen island, and multiple living areas make this home perfect for gathering, eating, playing, and relaxing.

When you’re ready to explore, you're just minutes from restaurants, shops, and grocery stores of charming New Braunfels — and just 20-60 minutes from hot spots like Gruene, San Marcos (outlets!), Wimberley, San Antonio’s River Walk, and even Austin.

Come experience lake life at Opas Haus — where comfort, space, and unforgettable memories await.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and a patio. There's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a fenced private yard.

The house had a beautiful view of the water and the nice homes across the lake. The outdoor space was incredible with all sorts of water toys. I enjoyed using the new griddle while watching the kids be kids. Fishing wasn’t great, but the kids had a good time reeling in some small pan fish. We would definitely stay at Opa’s Haus again!
