Great place for a large family

My huge family stayed here for the weekend and it was the perfect place for us! We had all ages with us and everyone was happy. I highly recommend this place. The check in and check out was super easy.

Beautiful view

We had 24 members of our family together for Christmas and this was the perfect gathering place. The kitchen was big enough for all of us and there was plenty of room to meet all of our needs. The most surprising thing was the beautiful view of the lake when you walk in and the sunrise each morning.

A great location

Clean, spacious, and extremely accommodating! Amenities and houseware were high quality as well. We all arrived during the night for check in, and were pleasantly surprised by an amazing view in the morning as well! We took our company here for a retreat / off-site, and would definitely book again for a similar sized group!

AMAZING

Our group had such a great stay. We were a large college softball team traveling to play UNR and mix in some down time. Our team retreat was a complete success! The house was AMAZING, and met all expectations. Our athletes enjoyed the space, and had such a great time. I would highly recommend the gathering house for large groups or getting the families together. Thanks NINA for a great stay!

Lots of room for large groups. Great deck overlooking the lake and lots of space for loads of cars if needed. Secluded property about 10 minute drive from downtown Nevada City.

Amazing stay. Incredibly beautiful and comfortable.

We hosted a gathering of 24 friends at this beautiful home. It was very spacious and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen and grill was where we spent the most time cooking great food and bbq. The giant living room and kitchen were amazing places for us to spend time together and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The home was very clean and well stocked for our 3 night stay. Nina was a wonderful host and comminicated quickly.

Tranquil & Nourishing

This is the second year in a row that we've rented this house for our company retreat. The space is very inspiring and comfortable. Its given everyone plenty of space for community bonding and privacy to have space for themselves. The view is breathtaking. Even in the depth of winter when the fog was thick and blocking the lake view the stay was still inspiring. When the fog finally did clear we all stoped what we were doing to admire the lake. We even saw a red tailed hawk right outside of the window. The only thing I wish was different was the lighting. There are only ceiling lights without dimmers and there are no lamps. An addition of lamps would take the space to the next level and make the large open rooms much more cozy. As they say "no, not the big light!", however without the big lights we'd be left in the dark. We still loved the stay and would certainly come back again.

Spectacular Family Gathering Place

Our large family had one of the best vacations we have ever had. Huge living dining room made hanging out together so easy. All the things you need to cook together.Beds, super comfortable. Tons of bathrooms.

Family Thanksgiving

The house was great for our family. View beautiful and we even had a big buck walk up to the deck. Fall foliage was beautiful. We were very grateful for our wonderful host and having a chance to all be together. Our family spent time in the town of Nevada City even attending a play in town. For our family we needed bigger beds, twin beds in a bedroom made no since because there is a bunk bed room. Need some king beds. Water pressure is restricted in two bathrooms hard to get a good shower. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, so amazing. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home!

Just WOW! Rent this property!!

The pictures do not do this property justice! When you walk in the doors, you are overwhelmed by the vast beauty through the huge windows, looking down to the lake and the trees. There are so many places to sleep and hang out. It’s unbelievable. And everything is decorated, so modern and updated. This is an elevated property. You will NOT be disappointed! Everything was working well and so clean. I can’t imagine a better place for our bridal party to spend the weekend. We were asked to keep things quiet after 10 PM so if you have wild drinkers/partiers this might not be the property for you. As for our large group- it was AMAZING!

Mens Trip

We have a group of 18 friends that get together once a year to hang out and chose this spot for our Nevada City adventure. The house location is awesome as it’s a short drive to downtown and the views off the back deck are gorgeous. Well stocked kitchen that is labeled to make finding things easily was a bonus. Depending on your sleeping needs there are plenty of spots in both bunks, singles and Queens/Kings mix. Lots of parking space on property too. One suggestion would be to go with king beds in all the rooms as it’s tough to fit two large dudes in queens. The rooms are plenty large enough to accommodate. It would have been ideal to have access to one garage spot to keep golf clubs stored but not a big deal. Overall great property and owner very responsive when I had question or need. Cheers!

Labour Day weekend guys gathering

There were 17 of us in total and the property was perfect. There were enough beds for everyone and plenty of bathrooms for everyone to shower etc. The kitchen was the perfect size for cooking for our group we are foodies so loved cooking in this kitchen. If you want a place to chill with family or friends this is the place for you.

Beautiful Home by a Lake

This large, beautiful home has a gorgeous view of Scott's Lake. The Lake itself is just a few minutes away for boating, paddle boarding, and swimming. We found everything we needed to cook and serve our meals. Our host, Nina, was very attentive to our needs and her communication was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Pictures don't do it justice!

This place is beautiful. 16 of us came here for a work retreat and there was plenty of room for all of us. The lake is a gorgeous backdrop to the amazing house. The beds were comfy, the wifi worked, and we especially loved that all the drawers were labeled in the kitchen (it can be so hard to find everything!). The kitchen has everything you need. The one con is the downstairs private bedroom had a very strong enclosed, musty smell to it. We kept the windows open, but it must be the carpet because the smell didn't go away. The house seems to have been renovated, but it doesn't look like the downstairs bedroom was. All in all we'd definitely come back.

We had a work retreat for our sales leaders. About 20 people in attendance. There was plenty of room and it was very nice and comfortable for all of us. Would definitely recommend!

Ideal spot for a quiet getaway for a large group.

We did not expect this residence to be so spacious and accommodating! Here's what really stands out about staying here: - The view of the reservoir is a wonderful backdrop for everything. - The kitchen is almost overwhelming! Top notch appliances and ample room for cooking and serving. - Numerous bedrooms and amenities make this a perfect place for a large group. -We loved spending mornings chatting in 'sun room' next to the kitchen.
