Thus is always our "go to" place when staying in Mt. Shasta. It's simple but charming. The staff is always friendly and they include wune in the evening and a nice homemade breakfast

This adorable Inn showcases original home, with antique feel. Sit down breakfast was homemade. Blueberry waffles, fruit and good coffee. Large room and so comfortable and clean. We will be back for sure. We had small dog and for the first time this room didn’t stink like dog pee. We could park right in front of room for easy loading. One level so easy to get our little pooch out. Big front grass where we sat and had glass of wine and pooch fetched her ball. From Washington state on road trip and wish we could have stayed longer.

Clean and Quiet

We stayed at Strawberry Valley Inn many times in the past and always enjoyed it. But we had not been there for several years before booking this stay and it has obviously changed hands in the interim. It is still a charming, well kept property; redone older style motel rooms surround a lovely old stone house where the check-in and breakfast are located. The location is quiet, walking distance to a couple of restaurants, 5 minute drive to town. Our room was very clean, but the eclectic furnishings are showing their age. The mattress and bedding were comfortable. We found it difficult to regulate the new heating system, but we were there only one night so maybe with a little more practice we would have gotten the hang of it. Breakfast was fine, but a bit disappointing. In the past there was more variety. This time, other than cereal, the only offering was a waffle (cooked on order) with a small side of fruit and a hardboiled egg. All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. So with a few minor quibbles, all in all it was a good experience. We would book Strawberry Valley Inn again.

Adorable old school motor lodge with nice clean sized rooms. Complimentary breakfast in main house was a nice surprise. Only complaint is the bathroom fan - sounds like a fighter jet taking off - really need to replace those old fans.

Clean, Well Priced Inn

Don't be deterred by the somewhat outdated appearance. It is charming. The breakfast waffles were delicious and freshly made. There was also fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, toast, and Quaker instant oatmeal, in addition to orange juice, coffee, and tea. My diabetic husband didn't eat much but I enjoyed it. The beds were quite firm, though my teenage boys didnt seem to mind as they slept soundly. The bathrooms are clean and fine but aren’t top end if that's what you are looking for. The rooms were nicely kept. Everything was clean. It was a great price and easy to get to Mount Shasta mountain. We'd stay here again.

I really wanted to like this property. The staff were all very polite and it’s a cute little old place. However the room was dirty, food was left in the fridge, trash was still in the garbages, and I really question if they even changed our sheets. We also didn’t even have towels upon check in. There is a tv however there’s no internet to actually use the Netflix or other streaming apps on the tv so you can choose between about 10 channels. Breakfast was better than a continental muffin but not by much. Each person is basically given one hard boiled egg, a waffle, and a few pieces of fruit. It was better than nothing but if you’re a hearty eater, you’ll be disappointed.

Quiet and I mean quiet! Modern mini-split heating and cooling means no more waking up each time the unit turns on. My room also had an electric "fireplace" which adds a beautiful ambience. Thick, plush towels. Coffee and tea bar, wine tasting happy hour and not your average "continental breakfast." Very happy with my stay.
