Was very pleasin with my check in process and first encounter with staff. Very mountain feel, warm. Bar was great and lobby was great. Right off the freeway. Would have rated a 5 but the swim pool was not heated at the time due to mechanical issues.

We are sorry to say that the staff at this hotel needs a great deal more training on how to facilitate questions about poor pool maintenance, lack of items available on there menus and servers for there restaurant. It gets frustrating when you're children get rashes on their bodies from the pool ( they had no explanation why it happened) then they are out of a significant amount of items on the menu with one server and the lady in charge keeps seating guests. Ski week I assume is a pretty lucrative time for Shasta. Be prepared for a larger amount of people...you know they are coming they have reservations. Wish I could of written a better review for the sake of this hotel because with more snow brings more people. Good luck with your retraining your staff.

Hotel was good. Pool was bit cold. Hot tub, well they pour chemicals in hot tub while our kids were in it. Four of the 10 kids in our group got rashes from too much chemicals. Other people staying at hotel there kids ended up with rashes as well. Also in am the restaurant two am we went down was out of very common food.

Friends recommended this hotel. We were very pleased with our over night stay. Clean room, comfortable bed, door to room is in doors so you feel safer and good service. Great location right off the highway plus Black Bear diner is walking distance. P

This hotel has a great view of Mount Shasta. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was a bit lacking, but we weren't expecting much anyway.

The room was average and at the prices they charge I would think they could be better. They need to clean the filter in the air conditioner, it smells.

This hotel is located on perfect location -- near Castle lake, Siskiyou, Bunny falls. Great for hiking. My daugher loved indoor swimming pool as she enjoyed after the hiking day!

My Husband and I, was there at the end of March 2013. Nice service, grate view clean room close to diversions, water and air are pure better then Central Valley. Check the Weather before you visit. Good Breakfast, the bar has a good selection of wine. Shopping center, restaurants, freeway , lake and water falls are wonderful and close to the Hotel. Ask the Front desk for a room on the 3rd floor mountain view and 2 or 3 doors from elevator. Something you cant control its if the next room the guess has kids, you will here them. The bed: for some people will be ok,. for some one with back problems will hurt next day in the morning so bring your pain pills and enjoy the trip. Good luck..

the room was very clean and comfortable. it was great that they had an indoor pool/Jacuzzi open until 10 PM as it gave us some time to unwind after a long road trip. A complimentary warm breakfast buffer got us started on the right foot for the next leg of our trip.

We had a night stay in Mount Shasta. The location is superb, very easy to find. The staff were helpful and the swimming pool and spa area is nice to relax in. The breakfast buffet here is huge! Very good value in the mornings. The room was non-smoking but it still had a slightly smoky smell and the A/C / heating unit didn't work very well. Overall we had a nice stay and would happily go back.

Good spot to rest and relax after spending the day at Mt. Shasta Ski Park. Nice complementary breakfast buffet.

Awesome breakfast. Way more than the usual continental. Very clean, loved the chalet feeling and amazing view of Mount Shasta.

The beds are hard and uncomfortable. If you like a good Martini....they'll make it.

Stayed there with a friend to climb Mount Shasta. Rooms were clean and fairly spacious. Air conditioner was a window unit but it cooled the room well. The breakfast buffet is free and is a good value. We chose this hotel because it is close to everything in the middle of town. It may be a little more expensive than some of the others, but after looking at the exterior of a few of the other hotels, I am glad we stayed here. My only minor complaint is that they would not let us stow any bags there while we were on the mountain, even though we had reservations for a night after we came down.

This hotel has a lot of potential, but they really need to improve some things. I have actually stayed here several times, and some rooms are better than others, but the inconsistency is as much of a problem as the issues themselves. The walls and doors at this hotel have very little sound insulation. I spent two hours trying to relax and watch a movie while listening to a woman in the next room laugh every few minutes. Clearly her movie was funnier than mine. When I finally decided to wind down and attempt sleep, another hour was wasted listening to people going through the hallways talking. Around midnight I gave up sleep and decided to watch another movie. The beds are showing signs of wear, notably the sinking spots where people have slept so much that the bed is more of a bowl. This doesn't make for a very good nights sleep on top of all the other concerns. The only positive is that everything does seem clean.

Easy to get on/off the interstate. We biked around the local lake,Lake Siskiyou, rented bikes from local shop, swam in the lake, climbed Castle Crags, saw the Fish Hatchery, enjoyed the Fall Colors and had a great weekend.

Every thing was perfect
