The Bothy is a lovely cottage to stay, the area is beautiful and great for walking. It is very dog friendly and the little touches like dog treats, towels to dry them, poo bags and head torches everything has been thought of.The Bothy is well equipped with everything you need, it was very clean and the beds are very comfortable.Karen is a great host very helpful with any questions you may have. We would definitely recommend and we will return.

What a delightful stay! Karen could not have been more kind and welcoming. The Bothy is lovely, well appointed, cozy and very well located, close to the town and hiking. Karen has thought of everything for The Bothy, including a wonderful library of books on the local area. Walking/hiking from The Bothy is brilliant. The back garden is spectacular and the birds and the bird feeder were a constant source of entertainment. Suzy and Radley are Karen’s cutest doggies. If you are considering the Moffat area, we could not recommend The Bothy highly enough. We will be back for another visit.

The Bothy was a lovely place for a break away. Quiet but close to Moffat and beautiful walks all around. Karen was a wonderful host along with her dogs Suzy and Radley. Communication was quick and helpful. We loved the wood burning fire in the evenings. Thank you Karen for letting us enjoy The Bothy. Will definately be back in the future.

My wife, daughter and dog Pumpkin had a wonderful stay at the Bothy. Karen was the perfect host, loved Pumpkin and had thought of everything to make our stay a perfect. The Bothy is located on the edge of beautifully secluded woodland and yet just moments from Moffat and transport. My only complaint is that I didn’t decide to stay here for our holiday rather than continuing up the road. We will be back! Thank you Karen, see you next year :)

Our family was visiting the United Kingdom for the very first time from Toronto, Canada and we were extremely impressed with this home. Our road trip landed us in various hotels, but this one stood out exceptionally over the others! The house was so cozy, that we all felt like it was our second home. Our main highlight was our quality of sleep in the super comfortable (and super warm) beds, as well as the cozy living room where we all gathered every evening. The location is incredibly peaceful and serene, this made our stay feel relaxing. Since the home was located near the highway, we were able to easily access Edinburgh and various gorgeous castles nearby for our day trips. Overall, this home is the perfect place to bring a family looking to experience Scotland in a lovely way. Highly recommended!
