The facilities at Hoodoo are fantastic and I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for an upscale experience. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I do have to note that our check-in experience was not great. We requested a higher floor in advance (which is part of our member profile) and let the hotel know that we were traveling with our small dog. When we arrived, they put us in a first floor room, saying that they were fully booked and did not have any rooms available on a higher floor. When we entered the room, the smell of bleach was overwhelming to the point that my husband went to the front desk after an hour or so to let the concierge know. She was very understanding and moved us to a similar room on the 3rd floor. Interesting, considering the gentleman who initially checked us in said there were no higher floors available....
The A/C in our new room was not working properly, however, Randy (a wonderful maintenance guy) helped us out and got the A/C working quickly.
Again, a great hotel, but suggest that the staff honor Bonvoy member requests upon check in if possible.
