Amazing location and beautiful home.

This is the second time we stayed here and love this home and location! Hope we can rent again next year.

Great stay!

Amazing location right across the street from the lake and literally so close to anything downtown (5 minute walk). We had a group of 7 women staying together and especially enjoyed the front porches and watching the MinAQUA Bats from our dock. The music and activity at the Thirsty Whale wasn't an issue at all.

Blue Cottage Days

Location was great. Walked across street to view the Ski show and Thirsty Whale perfect for lunch or a cool drink. Beach close by for the 2 kids and shopping an easy walk . Nice back yard to play or grill. Front porch an added bonus for our family.

Great Location

Perfect for access to downtown, the lake, and the trail. Can get a little loud at night being right across from the Thirsty Whale, but we knew to expect that. Would absolutely stay here again.

A few directions about the house would have been helpful, along with information about the surrounding area. The basement was musty, so a dehumidifier might have helped.

Fantastic place to stay at in Minocqua!

If it is still available for your dates, I would absolutely book it! It was very comfortable and had very nice details in every room! Wonderful front room that looks at the water and the nearby restaurant (tasty whale). Walking distance to all the cool bars and restaurants in the area as well.

Great Location

The house was perfect for us. We had no issues with the house. The house was clean and well stocked. We used the Weber grill to cookout. Being close to the bike trail and downtown made life easy. We would rent again.

Sweet little place!

Love love loved this place! Only reason it wasn’t 5 was because the door lock didn’t work getting in. It was quite a dilemma and late at night. Otherwise it is a delightful little place! With a beautiful view.

Cute remodeled home but very loud in evenings with bar across street. House was clean and kitchen stocked with cooking supplies but no salt/pepper, oil, etc.

Blue Cottage

What a gem! So thankful to have found this perfect little cottage for our family. We enjoyed a long weekend away. Located on the island which was amazing! Everyone could walk downtown to shop, eat, explore, play mini golf, and of course get ice cream. Parking was great for our vehicles including boat and trailer. Dock area worked great for our Mastercraft. Rooms were exactly as shown and kitchen was set up with everything we needed for meals. One night we hung out with the windows open listening to the live music from Thirsty Whale. We enjoyed all the activity. Owner introduced himself and shared a little about the area with my husband and son. We will definitely be back to this location.

Heart of Minocqua

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Cottage. It was very conveniently located on the main island of Minocqua. We were within easy walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants, miniature golf, the local beach, the lake, and the Bearskin Trail. The Thirsty Whale is directly across the street, so you will hear the patrons enjoying the bar at night but it also made it easy to stop in and have a meal as well. We attended the Mini-Aqua Bats water skiing show two nights and it was literally just out the front door as well. We also jumped on the bikes and enjoyed the Bearskin Trail a few times. Being right in the heart of Minocqua meant we could walk everywhere easily and still just run home to drop off our bags or use our own bathroom. We took advantage of the dock to rent a pontoon for the day and it was so much easier to just bring stuff from the house right to the boat instead of having to pack and unpack at the rental location...which also was just down the street! Overall a very convenient location and plenty of room for our family of 5. The house is older and has creaky doors and floors but has been updated nicely. The AC worked great to keep the house cool. The kitchen was well appointed. WiFi worked without any issues. Only complaints: the Schlage lock had issues. We were locked out THREE times and needed it reset each time. Also there is a TV in the basement with no service connected and a plug incompatible with the outlets down there. It just teased my teen!
