Great location, right on the beach

Convenient location, right on the beach, menu restaurants around. Check in was smooth and host readily available for any concerns. Great stay!

It all started when we arrived at the front desk at 11:30pm and were told they had no reservations under our name! After going back and forth with SCoast LLC over the app and them apologizing for not sending our info to the front desk (after I pad them up front weeks earlier) and claiming they’ll now do it, it never happened! After 1hr of trying to deal with this the front desk told me to just buy a room out of my own pocket and then trying to get in touch with the owners the next morning. So I paid 2x what I planned to spend with SCoast LLC and got a room that was much smaller than what I had booked with this owner. This owner finally got my information over to the front desk by the next day so I had to move rooms. That was 5 days ago and they had given me SUCH a had time. I have spent more than 5 hours over the app and with VRBO customer service escalation department and I still don’t have any refunded. They’ve behaved like criminals trying to give me the run around so I’ll just get tired of getting reimbursed. I may need to take them to small claims court if the refund doesn’t come through.And all this in addition to the fact that the room was pretty gross: the walls were dirty, the safe was broken and they refused to have it fixed, the lightbulb in the bathroom was out, the silverware was random and didn’t match. Even little things like the dishwasher liquid was half used.I’ve stayed at Marenas at least 10 times and this room was by far the worst cleanliness, etc

Cleanliness is something to improve!!!

The apartment is nice, good sea view, but cleanliness was poor. Rests of dried apple, sand everywhere and not a single kitchen towel to clean the countertop. If you plan to cook in the apartment think it twice. The beach was noise and extremely crowded, we can hardly see the water with so many people and umbrellas in such a small beach. This is also a hotel, therefore the property is always crowded and noisy. I would not return for the same price.

Hotel had no knowledge of our reservation

On arrival we went to check in and the hotel had no knowledge of our reservation. It was evening and very unsettling wondering if we would have to scramble for somewhere else to stay. Fortunately the property manager was quick to respond via chat and had to email our confirmation. The whole process took a little over 30 min but we were happy it was resolved. The beach chairs are packed as if on a cruise ship. We drove up and down the coast during our stay and didn’t notice any other properties do that. Also we had only one bath towel each and didn’t notice until packing up to leave that the extra towels were in a bedroom drawer rather than in the bathroom where there was ample shelving available meant for extra towels. Also we used the oven and there was no pot holder (maybe it was in the bedroom with the bath towels ). The balcony was nice and the view was as advertised. Keep in mind this unit is next to the elevators. Normally that wouldn’t bother us but they sounded like wind howling every time they went up and down. There are three and it’s a busy hotel. Valet did great at having our car out front by the time we got to the lobby. If you only speak English, language was sometimes a barrier. Overall the stay was good.

Lovely apartment-everything was there that we needed!

Disappointed that there were so maybe fees assessed at checking in to resort-I was under the impression that taxes & fees were included in the check in price -what was all those used for?
