Our stay was nice overall, but there were a few things that could have been better. The location and general vibe of the space were pleasant, but a few details impacted our overall comfort. With a little more attention to upkeep and communication, this could easily be a 5-star spot.Pros:    • Great location—about 25 minute drive to Pinecrest Lake, 15 minute drive to Black Oak Casino    • The space had charm and a nice aesthetic—multiple living rooms, large dining table and patio table    • Most beds were comfortable and all rooms were spacious      • All bedrooms have their own wall AC unit allowing for individual comfort       • Check-in was simple and instructions were clear for arrival and departure—we appreciated the early check in accommodation Cons:    • A few items were broken or worn down (grate on grill fell into fire when flipping food, grill burners didn’t light, extreme wobbly deck and loose deck safety rails—ultimately a SAFETY ISSUE)    • Ran out of propane on gas fire pit within an hour of use and were not provided with a spare until the next day    • The unit had a locked thermostat for the first floor so temperature downstairs could not be adjusted for comfort     • Only one garbage bag was provided for our Thursday through Sunday stay for a family of 11. Minimal resources were issued only upon request.Overall, we had a good stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement.
