The staff at the hotel are very nice to all guests. William at the front desk, Ivan at the pool bar, Carlos in the dining room and the two guys that always made sure us two old ladies made it across the very street safely but running out in front of us and stopping cars. That was very much appreciated. We noticed some construction with their elevators but it didn’t really impact us very much and we were on 9th floor of the towers. The only negative thing we could say would be they could invest in some new bed pillows. Ours were real lumpy like a bad case of washing. We spoke with others at the hotel and they had noticed that as well. But we like the “community” safe feeling that the safe brings us each year we stay. Thank you.

Staff most friendly and helpful. Hotel is old but clean. Beds were good. I have stayed at Costa de Oro many times over many years. Lets say it has character. No heat in rooms. AC for warmer weather. Staff very responsive any time we needed attention.

Excellent property. I am from Calgary Canada and came in January. A bit cold in the evening. Hotels in Mazatlan don’t have heat, only A/C. So next time I’m coming in February when it’s a bit hotter. A great vacation. Mazatlan is so safe. I never feared to go out in the evening and I’m an old lady. Had a massage….great! A super time!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bright. There are lots of dishes, glassware and pots and pans. I was pleased with the storage and counter space. Maid service did an excellent job each day. The layout in the rooms that overlook the pool was great. Grounds were lovely and well maintained. However, it is an older hotel. The room smelled musty. The couches, which were counted as extra beds, were as hard as rock and very very uncomfortable and would be impossible to sleep on. I bought an air mattress for the pool and I had to sit on that in the room in order to be comfortable on the couch. The fabric on the couches was stained and needs replacing. Inside the fridge, the freezer door was missing so we could not make ice. The caulking behind the sink needs to be redone as it is very rough and was impossible to clean to my satisfaction. A new elevator was being installed, which is great, but the one working elevator kept breaking down and having to walk up nine floors was not fun as I have back issues. Location of the hotel is great. Lots of fabulous restaurants in the area and good shopping as well. The beach is first class and we walked it daily.
