Nice property

For a family with a variety of ages this house was great. It was too cold, and the lake was too low, for swimming or boating. We had plenty of room to spread out, cooked plenty in the well stocked kitchen, relaxed, read a lot and played lots of games. The darts, ping pong and shuffleboard were popular. I would stay again.

Amenities and breakage

So many beds and things to do. Tons of things like: jet ski, pontoon, water slide, games, ping pong, shuffle board, darts. However, lots of things were broken; hinges on cabinets, drawers, starters on grill, chairs on patios, dishwasher was poorly put into space and leaked. We also had started by asking about a dock for our boat. However, on arrival they still had their pontoon docked. We had to wait several hours for them to move it. Overall a good stay, not sure if we would come back though.

Mothers Day Family Trio

We had an absolute wonderful time! This property was perfect for our large family!! So much space and the hosts thought of everything! We love the option of renting a boat at the property! Kate and Mina were amazing helping us with all things. The water slide blow up is such an awesome idea and addition for younger children! We absolutely enjoyed all things about our stay!

Great Lake House

Great house with plenty of space for a large party. Hosts were very responsive and forthcoming with information before we checked in. Backyard is great for hanging out and we even caught a couple nice catfish off the dock.

Family gathering

This home was perfect for our family gathering of 7 adults, 4 kids, and a dog. There was plenty of space and plenty of activities. The game room is fantastic and the kids loved the blow up water slide! We would definitely stay here again!

Family Wedding Headquarters

Had a great time. It’s a lovely location (despite the drive in past a few unsightly properties). Wish we had had more time to enjoy the lake and fire pit. Like other reviews mentioned- WiFi isn’t great so prepare to unplug or download any movies or shows you plan to catch up on.

Spacious Retreat

Property managers were very responsive to questions and issues. There were a few maintenance issues needing attention. Our cousins' retreat attendees (ages 86-65) had a great time together. Location is very convenient to restaurants, etc. I recommended that luggage racks be put in each bedroom. It was an accessibility challenge with luggage on the floor.

Annual Labor Day Friends Trip!

We had a wonderful Labor Day lake trip! The house was very clean with a well stocked kitchen! The beds were comfy but we had to buy extra blankets because the house was so cold! The main bedroom in the cottage does not have an AC so we stuck a fan in there. The yard is beautiful and there are tons of yard games and an inflatable water slide that our kids enjoyed! The house uses an app based system for checkin/out instructions which is a cool idea but a book would have worked better for our group. The major cons for our visit were the lake level and the Wi-Fi. The dock is completely dry and the water in the cove is stagnant and unsafe. While the lake level can’t be controlled we wish we’d had a heads up to know that there was no way to play in the water by the house and the closest usable ramp is a good 20 min drive.

Perfect weekend getaway with friends!

We had a great time staying at this property! There were 20 adults (25+) gathered to celebrate a birthday on the lake. The house was absolutely perfect and accommodated all of us very well. The air conditioned garage space is the true hidden gem of this house! It was the perfect spot for everyone to get together and play games. The house gets COLD! It was amazing during these 100+ degree days. We used the kitchen to the max and grilled out all without any issues. The wifi/service is not great, but usable.

Great Family Vacation Place

A beautiful, very clean property with a shady, fenced backyard and additional small guesthouse. The kids loved the backyard toys and the lily pad which we took out on the lake. There is a nice kitchen for those who like to cook and the beds were very comfortable which is a big plus for me. Very enjoyable.

Family vacation

We had a good time at this property for our annual family lake vacation. The owner was very responsive and we had everything we needed. The water in the back of the canal was a little low but that’s outside the owner’s control. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Lovely house for family reunion

We enjoyed our stay at this house for our family reunion. All beds were comfortable. House was clean. Enjoyed the AC game room where kids could play and be loud! Outside we really enjoyed the hot tub (which was cool), volleyball net, giant water slide for kids, corn hole, 2 kayaks, fire pit for marshmallows (they even had firewood in shed), and 2nd floor of dock where we could lay out and see fireworks on July 4. It was also nice to have the option of renting their pontoon boat on-site which we did. A little disappointed that it was a 60 hp engine so didn’t go above 20 mph. So we ended up renting jet skis (offsite) so we could pull a tube behind those. The hosts were responsive while we were there to the questions that we had. Since this house is in a cove, the water next to the dock was pretty dirty and shallow - so only the daring ones ventured to get in. But overall, we really enjoyed this house. Pictures were very accurate.

Family trip

Beautiful property and home. We had a wonderful family vacation. Pros: lots of room for everyone, the pictures were exactly as the property was, the game room was a bonus for the kids, everyone enjoyed kayaking, and the decks and the fire pit for s’more’s was so fun! Cons: there needs to be a notebook or some kind of paper copy of general instructions for everything. For example, how to find the router and plug it back in, run the dishwasher, what’s expected of clean up before you leave, and all the things that were on the portals amenities policy guide. We were not able to upload the guide because of the poor Wi-Fi service. The children were really disappointed that they couldn’t watch movies because of the Wi-Fi service. Also, we had issues with the hot tub not getting hot and tried to get in touch and let y’all know but the poor Wi-Fi service wouldn’t allow the back-and-forth. I kept getting replies by email such as take pictures of the hot tub?? I could not send you pictures because of the service issues. Also, some of the lights in the bedrooms would go off and on randomly by themself. I think there might be a glitch in the remotes. But, overall a great family vacation! We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for allowing us to use your lovely home.
