Location is the strength of this hotel. Rooms are small and not very updated. Breakfast is very good.
My husband and I spent a weekend at this lovely boutique hotel centrally located and just steps away from the funicular car that takes passengers directly to the main train station. The breakfast buffet was lovely with many different meats, cheeses, pastries and of course yummy Swiss chocolates. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.
Great value, quiet, great buffet. Kinda a business center hotel. Minibar is free (no liquor) and so is wifi. Only problem is if you arrive by car, hotel is in a pedestrian zone!! Difficult to figure out, GPS was all confused.
Perfect location lacking only a lake view within walking distance of everything. Extremely convenient for anyone arriving by rail (less than 20 yards from bottom of funicular stop which runs from the railroad station down to town). Hotel 15-20 minutes by car from Agno airport so equally convenient. very responsive staff, choice of pillows for added comfort. room upgrade recommended over lowest price room to get 1hr free wireless internet and great room for price

According to the information we were able to collect, you reserved for the end of September 2017 a Double Quality room through Expedia.com. This was the exact type of room you were assigned at check-in. Hotel Lugano Dante has different types of room available. In fact, besides the Quality rooms, you can choose between the following room categories: Superior, Executive and Suite, which vary in size, furniture, upholstery and free amenities. It is important to say that our hotel is designed with a classic English style, which we find appeals to most of our guests. We certainly understand that our „look and feel“ may not meet everyone’s taste and for this reason we invite all our guests to have a look at the pictures on Expedia.com. We truly wish you had reported your dissatisfaction to our reception staff right away. We could have certainly shown you some completely renovated rooms with modern colors, materials (parquet) and design. However, we thank you for having appreciate our convenient location, in the centre of Lugano and our reach buffet breakfast.
