This is the grossest place I have ever stayed in. I have traveled into Third World countries and stayed in the jungle and not been as disappointed in my room. I will likely have to sleep in my car tonight. The worst thing is that this place stinks. Musty and some kind of other smell I’m not going to describe. The curtains are especially gross and they had a big office clip holding them shut. The bed is weird, creaky and uncomfortable. It’s a holiday weekend and almost everything else in the town is sold out and I have a ferry to catch early in the morning so I’m not going to switch now and stay somewhere expensive.

For the price I pay per ni it was definitely worth it, check in was fast and easy, it's not a modern or fancy hotel but it's very comfortable and a 10 min walk to the beach, clean floors, carpet and bathroom too, only thing linen and towels had what looks like old stains, so we never touched them we had bring our own anyways.

We stayed for 3 nights, there was no housekeeping at all, we had to take the trash out and go ask for toilet paper, as they didn’t even leave extra roll in the bathroom, the motel is very outdated, sheets and towels are clean but blankets had so many stain spots, the 3 stars was for the motel location.

Tired old motel in a great location

It was fine for an overnight but I wouldn’t come back. The positives: relatively good price for a great location - easy walk to downtown and beach - and the towels were thick. So so: bed was fine and clean, they had a few to go breakfast items (yogurt and sticky buns, coffee and sunny D). Negatives: it’s an older hotel that doesn’t look well kept or super clean inside or out. The fixtures, furniture, and decor were old. Not “cute vintage” old but just old old. Owners were okay, not rude or particularly friendly, said no to checking out 1 hour late. I’d bite the bullet and spend more on a nicer place next time.

The room smell, the floor was dirty, mildew curtains by A/C, dead bugs on the floor, closet nasty, batroom gross, missing parts on the floir heating system, bedding outdatwd. The room was very tiny did not look as it was pictured on the website. Regused to give me a refund i was there less than 15 minutes.

The Ventura is located relatively close to the Ludington Stearns Park beach and Badger Car Ferry docks. The rooms themselves are quite dated and bathroom is small and lacks a vent fan. This lodging option gets the job done but isn't a bargain by any means. There is a modest cold continental breakfast provided. It was fine for me and my traveling partner but was really just four walls and some beds.
