"I arrived at the hotel late in the evening and, after unpacking and settling into my room, I discovered a very large cockroach crawling across the ceiling above my bed. I immediately called the front desk. The associate explained that she was the only employee on duty and initially said there was little she could do. After I expressed my concern, she came to the room with a broom and offered to move me to another room. However, it was already around 1:00 a.m., I had spent nearly an hour unpacking, and I needed to be up at 6:00 a.m. for work, so moving rooms at that hour was not a practical solution. Unfortunately, when attempting to remove the cockroach, it was knocked from the ceiling onto the bed and disappeared. I was left extremely anxious about sleeping in the room, hoping it had escaped. Unfortunately, it had not. Later, the cockroach ran across me while I was in bed, which was both shocking and upsetting. The front desk associate was polite and did make an effort to help under difficult circumstances, but the overall experience was unacceptable. Finding a cockroach in the room is concerning enough; having it end up in the bed and then crawl across me during the night made for a very stressful and sleepless stay."
