Decent hotel in good location

Friendly staff, decent food. Good location, Room was big and comfy. Shower could have been better and wifi chargeable. Could be a little loud for families as the area is aimed for drunken young Germans.

Cheap hotel thats value for money. Beds not so comfy. Rooms surprisingly big. Pool maintained. Small supermarket opposite. Nowhere to park. Taxi to airport 20-25 euro.

Good value.

Short walking distance to beach, boat trips, restaurants and amenities. Friendly family business. We had a corner room which had a great view over natural park with sea in the distance. Mattresses could be a little more comfortable but room sizes are good.

Very difficult to find, tucked in a corner really. Outward appearance OK, and clearly has been recently refurbished. View at back overlooking pine woods was quite nice. (at least from the 4t floor it was) Inside looked good and staff were very friendly. I think it was the food that let this place down. It was a typical Spanish style Buffet, but food was not very hot, at dinner time the aircon was on full blast, and it seemed to be directed straight onto the end of the buffet bar where some of eg veal lay. I have to say that coffee machine was good and toaster functioned well.We only spent 2 night there, so perhaps not a totally fair assessment. I suppose that value for money was reasonable all round.

Poor Customer Service

i ignored reviews i read about booking this hotel reference poor bedding in the room. my friends bed was ready to fall apart. the hotel staff swapped bed covers and gave me a change with a smoke hole through it which was on the other bed the night before. i asked for a wake up call on the morning of the departure which never happened and after waiting a clear fifteen minutes to check out i had to raise my voice to a women behind the counter who showed zero respect to the other customers behind me. the scariest thing is she was probably the owner and it may be time for her to go on a customer refresher course. The walls are paper thin, so do not expect a good nights sleep.

Considering the time of year the price was good value and we just needed a bed for 1 night. Check in was ok but not particularly friendly, lobby clean and again ok. Room very basic but clean, air con noisy and beds not particularly comfortable. When you balance out the price though it was a good standard for what we paid.

Nice upgrade...

On arrival our room wasn't ready, no big issue we were a bit early so we left our bags at the hotel and went for some lunch. On return we got the keycard for our room, room 33. The room was ok but on opening the curtains we were confronted with our vision of hell, a concrete wall less than 15ft away. I returned to the reception to complain as we had requested a pool view. After checking their bookings we were offered another room on the same floor, this time room 36. This room was slightly larger than the previous room and although the door to the balcony still opened onto the same concrete wall the balcony extended round to the back of the hotel and overlooked the pool. RESULT.

Last minute short break for some sunshine

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. There wasn't a lot of bars or restaurants open near by so we upgraded to All Inclusive which was excellent value for money. There was no wifi at all in the hotel which was a bit disappointing. Staff were really good.

Staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Rooms cleaned every day and the standard of cleaning very good. Would have no hesitation to recommend Hotel Alea as a very good hotel.

Fantastic value for money

Arrived and welcomed with a smiley face. Shown to the lift and given info about the hotel including meal times. Our room was 002 and on the 1st floor overlooking the pool. Great space, good shower, excellent a/c and for me nice bed. The room was extremely clean. The tv was small, but who wants to stay in their room and watch television. Only 1 English channel (BBC World News). The room is equipped with a safe. (small local charge). The pool was quite small but never busy. There were plenty of chairs and beds and area was kept very clean and tidy. The bar was just inside from the pool and well stocked (Great Sangria). We were All Inclusive and there was a drinks menu with high lighted drinks available free of charge). Breakfast starts at 8am, lunch at 1pm and dinner at 7.30pm. Lunch and dinner for A/I clients were bottles of wine, red, white, rose and if not drinkers then the bottle is labelled for a later meal. The food, for a smallish 3* hotel was excellent. GREAT hotel and fantastic good value for money.
