We have recently refurnished the entire condo and have replaced all the windows with tented, screened windows that open to let in the cool ocean breezes. The VRBO Bear has stayed at our condo and gave us a 5 star review.
We have a queen bed in the upstairs master bedroom, a king bed in the down stairs guest bedroom, a queen bed in the living room sleeper sofa and a infant pack away bed in the closet. We are on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a three story building with amazing ocean views. The master bedroom is on the 3rd floor away from the main living area and overlooks the ocean. Cool ocean breezes come through the screened windows and you can hear the waves crashing.
This condo is privately owned, it is not a time share. When you rent this condo you are staying in our vacation home, not an investment property. Therefore you will have use of our personal beach stuff, saving you hundreds of dollars not having to rent beach chairs, snorkels, umbrellas, ice chests and boogie boards during your stay.
You can instantly book our condo by paying directly to VRBO. A down payment of 30% is due at time of booking, 35% due 90 days before your trip and balance due 60 days before your trip. Stays longer than 30 days require mid stay cleanings every two weeks at a cost of $345.00 each. This allows the housekeeper to change out the bedding and towels, vacuum the carpets, clean the windows, and inspect for leaks and damage.
Kaha Lani means Heavenly Place which describes this beach front resort perfectly. It's like no other resort on Kauai. Surrounded by large grassy areas, this Bali Style Resort is breath taking. It sits behind a beautiful, undeveloped, white sand beach that is only 150 steps away from your front door. You can walk miles along this quiet beach sometimes without seeing another person. This is a perfect place to take pictures of the amazing sunrises. The resort also has a heated pool overlooking the ocean with Tiki Lights that are lit every night at sunset. There are two barbecue grills by the pool, great for cooking your meals outside. There is a tennis court. A beautiful well maintained golf course is right next door, that is reasonable priced. (Wailua Golf Course). A great bike/walking path is directly in front of the resort that leads to Lydgate Beach Park, a great place for kids to play in the protected lagoon an learn how to snorkel. They will also love the awesome playground. You can rent bikes in Kapa'a nearby or have them delivered to the condo. There is a bike rack directly behind our condo.
Kaha Lani Resort is centrally located so you are close to all the famous Kauai sights, yet you feel away from everything the moment you drive into the spacious , tropical resort. Positioned between the Wailua Golf Course and Lydgate Beach Park, the resort is very private. You aren't surrounded by other resorts fighting for a spot on the beach, yet you are a short drive from all the activities. The Wailua River is one mile North of the condo. This is were you can launch off in a kayak to visit Secret Falls or take a river cruise to the Fern Grotto. Right on the shores of the Wailua River sits the Coco Palms Resort that Elvis Presley made famous in the film Blue Hawaii. The hurricane Iniki shut the resort down in 1992, but it is still nice to drive past and imagine what it was like in 1961 when the movie was filmed. The Wailua Waterfall, also shown in the film, is a short drive up the nearby country road. It can be viewed from the road and is a great place to take photos. A few adventurous travelers even hike to the bottom of the falls and swim in the fresh water pool. Opoeka'a Falls is about 3 miles from the condo. You can view it from the road. Depending on the recent rainfall it may have one, two or even three falls coming over the side. The quaint town of Kapa'a is a few miles North of the condo. This is a great place to stroll for hours checking out the many shops and restaurants.
Kaha Lani 216 is in building 5, on the second and third floor of a three story building. 980 square feet of private space, including two lanai's (patios). It is a quiet, very bright, end unit. There are only six units in this building. The two units connected by the wall to the right only go up two floors, so your third floor master bedroom doesn't share a wall with another unit, making it very quiet. You can view the ocean from the third floor master bedroom windows, making it a great place to watch the passing whales during winter months. It has a new queen size memory foam bed. A private bathroom is also on the third floor with a large shower.
The second bedroom and second bathroom are on the second floor with the rest of the living areas. The second bedroom has a new king size memory foam bed. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo.
The living room has a new memory foam queen size hide away sleeper sofa.
There are two lanai's.(patios). One facing the ocean and white sand beach and another facing the mountains. There is plenty of free parking right outside the unit. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make meals, except groceries which you can purchase at Safeway a few miles North of the condo. There are three flat screen TV's, internet and wifi. In the living room we have a new Smart TV allowing you to access your own online movie accounts. The telephone comes with free long distance to the mainland USA, so you can keep in touch with the office and family. It is well stocked with beach items for you to enjoy. Tommy Bahama Backpack Beach Chairs, Boogie Boards, snorkel sets, umbrella, ice chest, beach towels, tennis rackets and balls. Just bring your clothes. There is a laundry facility on the grounds of Kaha Lani that takes credit cards so you can pack lighter and save on airline fees. Like most homes on Kauai, our condo doesn’t have air conditioning. We have replaced all the windows and had them tented to help keep the inside of the condo cool. All the windows open and are screened. This allows the cool ocean breezes off the ocean to flow through the Condo. The East side of the island gets most of the cool trade winds, so it’s the preferred side of the island. We have ceiling fans and portable stand up fans that you can move around the room. This feature sets us apart from other condos at Kaha Lani Resort since most don’t provide portable fans.
The condo features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a balcony. There's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and a phone.

We stayed 8 nightsWalk to the Beach was the best partBeach was clean and quiet It's mostly a private beach. You can pretty much see the beach from the balcony Property yards are maintained wellKitchen had good set of utensils for cooking Checkin and Checkout was hassle free. No trips needed to be made to the rental office. By the way the property management company is not on the property, they are somewhere else just a note to all.Because we stayed 8 nights we could find things that can be improved1. Downstairs shower does not have a soap box so u have to figure out where to place the bar2. Beds can be replaced for newer ones. 3. Laundry detergent can be provided especially because it's not available on the property for purchase.4. Email instructions on check-in said go to the rental office to pick up keys. But looks like this has been changed please change the email instructions as well so its not confusing

Morning walks on the beach
We chose this location because is is centrally located with easy access to both the north and south sides of Kauai. We didn't expect to spend much time at Kaha Lani's beach, but we discovered its perfect for morning walks as it stretches over 2 miles bordered by parks and a golf course. We also enjoyed the Smith Family Garden Luau is less than a mile away.

After camping all around Kaua’i for 10 days, it was the perfect end to our trip to stay at Kaha Lani. My aunt came over from Maui, and we all enjoyed the short stroll from the condo to the beach sand to watch a few sunrises together.

Beautiful Kauai!
My husband and I visited our daughter, who is living in Oahu for a week. She had expressed that Kauai is her favorite island, so the 3 of us stayed at this VRBO for 3 nights.This VRBO is a perfect location as it is "center" along the only road that will take you through most of the island. We kept very busy the 4 days we were in Kauai and therefore didn't get to spend much time at the VRBO, besides sleeping. We did have most of our dinners and breakfasts at the VRBO. The kitchen was very nicely stocked with all of our cooking/grilling needs. (Could use the full range of measuring cups though)The upstairs bedroom has ocean view and my daughter loved sleeping to the sound of waves every night. The main floor bedroom has a nice king sized bed, but the windows face the parking lot. In Hawaii, chickens are everywhere! The first night, we had the windows open in the bedroom and were awakened many times throughout the night to the roosters crowing. Did you know that roosters don't just crow at sunrise?! Therefore, the next 2 nights, the main level bedroom windows were shut and we slept peacefully but a little warm as there is no AC.Overall, this VRBO met all of our expectations! We wish we could've stayed longer and relaxed at the VRBO!

Great location in the middle of the island
They have EVERYTHING full kitchen just like at your own house…even a crockpot, nice laundry just a short walk away and cheap 4.00 a load per wash the 4 to dry. Maybe 30 steps to your own little beach area, little rough to swim in but nice beach, they have everything for the beach as well. They even have a community grill you can use, we did a lot of grilling. Very nice , comfortable place to stay, nice walk paths as well

Great place to stay
My family and I loved our stay here! The location was fantastic and the apartment had everything we needed and more - there were lots of beach toys and chairs etc. available for us to use. Lydgate park is just up the road, which is a great beach to swim in for the family, and the pool on site is very nice as well. Loved that the location was centrally located on the island so we were able to visit both the north and west sites of Kauai more efficiently. Highly recommend! Thanks for having us!

Great location. A little disappointed as it was advertised as newly renovated. Thought when booked it would be no big deal not having AC. It was pretty uncomfortable upstairs even with overheard fans and floor fans. The every morning rooster wakeup at 5:30 a.m. initally was hard to get use to but just laughed about it.

Having never been to Kauai, we were not sure where exactly to choose to stay. This location seem to be in the middle of everything we wanted to do in addition to very close to plenty to do with 10 minutes. It had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and perfect for our family.

Enjoyed location. Easy walking on beach or path. Next to public park with safe snorkeling, restrooms. Private, and near Wailua . Place was clean, nice details, partial view, enjoyed pool. Kauai Vacation Rentals was wonderful in fixing a problem that occurred checking in. Would absolutely stay again!
We loved being so close to the beach, especially being able to walk a short distance to Lydgate Beach.
Both beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed to cook some of our own meals. Would definitely recommend staying here.

the apartment was great, it has a semi-ocean view and although the beach directly at the front is not easily swimmable in the winter due to currents, it is a short 10 min walk from a protected lagoon with lots of fish. good location, with many amenities and the apartment is very well organized.

Our family of 5 loved our stay at Kaha Lani #216. We’ve stayed at other units here before, and 216 is very well appointed in comparison. We had everything we could have ever needed in the kitchen (coffee makers and coffee grinder, blender, toaster, rice cooker, all the pots, pans, dishes, cooking utensils you could want), and great beds, towels, fans, and beach gear. The condo is centrally located to anything you could want to do, including beachfront access to watch every morning’s stunning sunrise with sand between your toes. We walked to Lydgate park to snorkel most mornings, and spent every afternoon/evening at the property’s pool. The Kaha Lani is a beautiful property, and unit 216 was a beautiful place to call home for a couple of weeks.
