"We chose this hotel in part because it had a pool, so we were disappointed to find out that the pool was closed for the entire weekend due to maintenance. We understand that maintenance issues can come up, but since this was one of the main amenities we specifically chose the hotel for, it was frustrating that there was no discount or other accommodation offered for the inconvenience. Had we known ahead of time that the pool would be unavailable, we likely would have chosen a different hotel. Overall, the stay was fine, but the lack of communication and compensation for a major advertised amenity being unavailable was disappointing."
