The staff were helpful and polite. Rooms were a decent size and quiet despite being in the centre. The breakfast was good and self service. I prefer fresh coffee brought to the table rather than a machine but that is a minor point really. We had a lovely stay to see a concert nearby. It was a ten min walk to the First Direct Arena. Such a comfy bed and a good space. Didn’t use the shower as only stayed one night but the bathroom was lovely. Amazing location and the lobby was decorated nice, breakfast was a good buffet

Was put in a 1st floor room that was directly above the banqueting suite. Chairs and tables being noisily moved around each night until 1230/1am. Called reception to let them know- they simply said it was December so they were busy with parties. Little sleep had- which is the basic requirement of a hotel. If they know that the 1st floor rooms are affected - they shouldn't put people in them!

The heater was broken ON and it was insufferable. The maintenance team did their best, and the front desk wasn't able to offer anything but a future credit for a stay at their exact property because we booked through a 3rd party (hotels.com). It was the first time that booking through hotels.com (we we use A LOT) ended up costing us from a service and solution perspective.
