This property was the perfect place for our Cousin’s Reunion. It had an easy stone stair walkway to the gently flowing river and a large pavilion that was perfect for morning coffee or a family cookout. The kitchen was large enough for several cooks to prep meals at the same time, and had a good assortment of utensils and cookware. We spent most of our time eating and playing games at the large dining room table. I especially enjoyed the big balcony on the 2nd level that had plenty of chairs and overlooked the whole back area. This property is great for multi-family and multi-generational gatherings! The host was amazing and communicated fast.

Perfect!

We had a group of 14 (preteens, teens, & adults) and stayed for 4 nights. We loved how everything was set up. The bunkhouse was the perfect setup for the teens. We loved how close to town the house is and just a short drive to Garner. With the houses, pool, river, pavilion, and games we had everything we needed right there. Thanks so much for hosting us!

House and amenities were perfect for a river weekend

We had an awesome stay. Was really easy to get settled in and start having our weekend getaway. Owner was really easy to get ahold of. Pool was amazing with the pavilion right next to it and river right on the other side of the pavilion, it is a perfect setup. River was low but the access is at a good spot in the river that’s still cold and deep enough. All around good stay and would definitely go back again.

Beautiful location & home

We had a wonderful stay! The river wasn’t really high while we were there but it was still enjoyable! We used the pool and pavilion area as well and that was really fun too! The AC worked really well and home was perfect!

Hiking the Fall Folage

Although the weather was less than ideal; our family had a great time at this rental fantastic. Relaxing on the front porch with a cup of hot tea or coffee was great.

A great location, wish more than one bathroom had hot water.

Only one shower had hot water. Upstairs bath shower and tap did not have hot water, nor did kitchen sink. Pool was milky and not clear, it made swimmers nervous. Would have been nice and thoughtful if it was ready to swim in before we arrived. It didn’t clear up during our stay. No checkin by property manager during stay. A nice location on the Frio though.

Perfect place for large groups!

On the water, sports pool for hours of volleyball fun when the river is too low to tube, great covered patio area for cooking and eating, the bunk house is PERFECT for the 12 20-year-old guys (my nephew & his friends) who came with us- couldn’t ask for a more perfect place! This was our third time renting this house & won’t be our last!!

Graduation

We rented the property for my daughters graduation for family and friends to stay. We really enjoyed the pool and out door space. Had a great time playing teather ball and making smores. The river front is nice too.

First time at Frio river

Melinda was awesome with answering all of my questions and tentative to making sure everything was going smoothly. House and bunk house was spacious , the kids loved staying in the bunk house. The pool was definitely a must for us just in case the little ones were to afraid of the River .The pavilion was spacious ,enough seating for all 19 of us to eat all meals and convenient to have everything close to the pool and river. Will definitely be coming back . Thank you Melinda for allowing us in your beautiful home we all had a great time and made plenty of great memories ♥️

Amazing property!

Beautiful property with an amazing host! Perfect family and friend vacation spot. House and bunkhouse were great. Beautiful river access. Pool was nice and clean. Pavilion with tables and BBQ pit was great. Fire pit with chairs were great. Overall property and amenities were fantastic! Highly recommended! Would definitely stay here again!

Thanksgiving Gathering

Kitchen is very well stocked. Plenty of seating at the dinner table. The river steps to the river are effortless. Plenty of linens and towels. Cable TV was awesome for football games. Plush recliners and room for family of big guys to enjoy the games. It was very cold that weekend and rainy. The house was roomy and very cozy. We were able to spread out and play games. The bunk house was awesome for the teenagers they did their video games and were able to hang out with their friends.

River Access! Beautiful Getaway.

Our group had an excellent time staying at the house. Really close to town and excellent communication was provided by the homeowners. You can't beat the location, just 10 minutes away from Garner State park and less than 5 minutes away from the town.

The perfect getaway

Well needed time away from busy life. We enjoyed late night cooking and laughing out in the back yard patio while kids played in the pool. My favorite thing was everything I needed was there plus more and so much space. With a full house there was plenty of room. Host was very attentive and accommodating. When the river fills in again I will definitely come back-Thank you!!
