Pet Friendly Hotels in Lake Pagosa Park, Pagosa Springs

"HillSide Inn was adequate for my family of four (two adults, two kiddos). Clean facility. friendly staff. The pool is basic, but was a hit for the kiddos. Breakfast was very basic continental style, no hot food. Property is good location on main highway through Pagosa Springs. Overall we were content, but I will point out two negatives: (1) other reviews just the beds were super comfortable. We did not find that to be the case. Beds were ok, but the mattresses sagged a *lot*. I do not recommend for people with sore backs. And (2) the hotel allows pets in certain rooms. The night we stayed, there was a *VERY* loud dog that barked most of the evening. Eventually it calmed down and we were able to sleep through the night, but we were worried. Also, there were guests with a dog in another room, even though the room had a "no pets" sign. I don't know if the people snuck their dog in, or if the staff knew the dog was there but didn't care, either way, the dog was walking up and down the hallway without a leash or its owner for a while. So, be aware of this if you have pet allergies or such. OK for a quick night or two, but I do not recommend for a long stay."
