Overall we enjoyed our stay, and Candace, the property manager was very kind and responsive when we had issues. There were some things that could have been better maintained, but the house was comfortable and fun and our kids really enjoyed the hot tub and the basement play area. The gates community protocol was a bit off putting- a lot of rules and regulations, and getting in and out was a bit of a pain.

Very family/kid friendly place, comfortable and spacious, with a reasonably well stocked kitchen . Lots of toys for bad weather days or a break from the sun and a quick drive to the sandy beaches and fishing.

Beautiful house, great location

From the very beginning Nina would answer any questions or concerns I may of had. Communication was excellent! The house was as described. I had 11 guests (from adult to kids)and we had plenty of room in the house. The house is very kid friendly ,with lots of toys in the finished basement. Unfortunately, we could not use the outdoor amenities due to the weather but we did go fishing in the nearby lake. Restaurants are anywhere from 15-30 min drive depending on what you want. Grocery store was also close, n great prices. Overall ,it was a great getaway weekend with family n friends. I would definitely recommend this house, and I would definitely rent from this owner again..

Fantastic Getaway Home

This was an amazing experience! My family of 12 went on a long weekend getaway to The Hideout for my wife's birthday. Right before booking I contacted the property owner, Nina, with questions about the reservation/home. From the very beginning she was quick to respond, very accommodating and genuinely did her best to make us feel comfortable. She provided us with all information we needed/requested, things to do both inside and out of the community and responded to every single message sent. The property is exactly what we expected from the photos. Beautiful home that felt very comfortable and had everything we needed. We had 3 children, 3 teens and 7 adults total and we each had plenty of space to do our own thing and come together when we wanted to. Furniture, TVs, games, movies dishes and cooking utensils were practically brand new and very clean. It really did feel like home! The community was beautiful, very friendly and easy to check into. Everyone we spoke to was very friendly and filled with great vibes. Tons of fun for the fam, close to markets and tons of food options. If there is anything you'd need and are not sure, just message Nina. She's awesome!
