Amazing house and location. Shawn was an exceptional host and made everything easy and clear. The house is top notch with an unbeatable view. We had a great time fishing and kayaking and playing with the arcade. We highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

I have rented homes in this community for many years and this is the best property by far. Everything you need for a family vacation is at your fingertips, just pack your clothes. Host is amazing communicator and responds quickly. Will definitely look to rent this property in the future.

We have been coming to the community for 5 years now and this is our favorite house. The location is great, able to walk to the beach or jump right off the doc and swim over it’s so close. The house is in great condition and very well kept with all the essentials for our 2 week stay. Shawn is a great host and very responsive. We absolutely would recommend him as well as this house for any type of getaway up to the area!!!

Great place and awesome location

From the beginning, communication was great...very responsive to my questions.This is a beautiful property. The house was right on the Lake with awesome views from the large windows, the deck and from the firepit area right below. It was a great experience and i couldnt be happier. You wont be dissapointed.

Simply the best!

Even though the weather was not best the whole time we were there, we had an amazing stay. The place is beautiful. It looks even better than the pictures. Amazing Spring Break Trip!

My family and I truly enjoyed everything about our trip here. It was our first trip at a Lake house and we’re already talking about a next one. Everything mentioned in the listing was accurate and communication was fantastic. This house had everything and more! Fishing was amazing, our boys had a blast and caught quite a few. The deer in the yard in the mornings was a bonus. We had one rain morning and the game room was perfect! Great place to stay and we hope to be back. Thank you!

Amazing getaway house!!

We had a wonderful stay here for a week in February. The house was beautiful, clean and stocked with everything we needed. The description of the home is exactly what you get! We had a fabulous week ice fishing, ice skating, tubing at a local mountain, enjoying both the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit, relaxing in the hot tub and playing games on the custom video game system. We will definitely be back! The host also responded to all questions and inquiries both before and during our trip.

Relaxing Stay

Everthing was as described in the listing except the hot tub. That did not look like they switch out the water as often as described unless there is metal in their water that gives it the tint. There was also sand in bottom. We only went in it once. We also had trouble figuring out the arcade. Other than that it was a great time.

3 Birds Lake

Nothing was Lacking. Location, is Tops! Home In great shape From the Dock, Hot tub, and many amenities, provided by Shawn & Christine Abbott, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal anywhere on VRBO. If you're looking for a peaceful lakefront rental where you can cast a fishing line in from under the deck while sitting in the Adirondack chairs next to a fire your here. There's plenty of room for at least 8 or more people to be about and not be on top of one another. There's plenty of Games, Watercraft items, all in a Variety. The Kitchen is modern, with all necessary items. 3 -bathrooms , 2 Large screen Tv's . a Family will certainly enjoy a stay here. That and the fact the Abbotts won't leave you hanging if you need them. Plenty to do and to enjoy .

Great vacation home

Home looked like photos and amenities were top notch. Host was amazingly responsive throughout the process from the time of booking in February until I left the property on the last day of our stay at the end of August. Lake view is lovely and perfect place to chill or do activities that are easily accessible at Lake Wallenpaupak Estates

Disappointed

The listing said "Luxury" but this was not a luxury property. The house was dirty, the mattresses were worn out and saggy. There was a foam mattress cover on one of the beds that was dirty. We took it off. There was dog hair on the couches. The oven was dirty and had not been cleaned in ages. The dishwasher smelled very musty and did not clean the dishes. The gas grille was disgusting, and we could not use it. The hot tub was dirty and looked like someone had vomited in it. There was a broken deck spindle with rusty nails sticking out lying on the deck. I called Shawn and he sent someone who came on Wednesday to clean the hot tub and reattached the spindle. I expected a CLEAN house, not this place. I will never stay here again. When I told Shawn how dirty the house was he said "there is a sliding scale of what is clean." That is an unacceptable answer. Shawn did refund the cleaning fee. That house is very dirty.

Great Vacation

This house is conveniently located to everything. The beach is just steps away. A pool with a slide is a short walk. A putting green is next to the pool. Since the house is located on the lake it’s easy to use the kayaks and paddle boards. The fire pit was popular. The kitchen is large and well stocked. Beds are comfortable.

Having it All

Unfortunately, we had 4 of 7 days be overcast and rainy. Fortunately, the game room and the hot tub saved the day(s). Even on those overcast days, being ON Deer Lake made it easy to take advantage of a couple of hours to play between the periods of rain. The house is beautiful and well kept. The host stayed in touch, checking on things and exchanging friendly texts and tips. For 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 12-16) the house was just the right size and had all you need for a wonderful vacation. The only 4 of 5 I gave above was for "location" only because stores, restaurants, gas, etc is all about 20 minutes (or more) away. Personally, I loved that but some in our party (we are "spoiled" Long Islanders) wished for closer amenities. Having your own small lake, less than a mile from the big lake (Wallenpaupack), and away from "the things of man" . . . perfect for me.

Awesome lake house

This was our (me, husband, dog) second time staying at this property and it was just as great as the first time! The view is incredible and the amenities are well maintained. We used the grill and the hot tub almost every night. We explored the nearby town of Hawley and did the rail tour. A lot of community amenities were closed or had limited hours since we went early June so if that’s something you care about, check if they’ll be open for your visit. We didn’t mind, since there’s so much to do at the house. Shawn was extremely responsive. We’ve been going to the Poconos for our anniversary for several years and this is the first time returning to a place—we were very glad to see it lived up to our memory!

Lake House Dream

Our family had an AMAZING 7 day stay at the Three Little Birds! The home is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed cooking our meals and grilling on the beautiful deck. There was a multitude of choices to enjoy from this home such as watching the sunrise, jumping in the lake, sunbathing on the private beach, paddling to the island and amazing fishing! The fun continued inside the house as our kids were thrilled with the game room! Shawn was a fantastic host and communication was excellent! We cannot wait to unpack our bags once again at Three Little Birds and make more special family memories!
